TESTING Registration is now open! Iowa Testing for grades 1-12. The Iowa Tests Form C makes understanding and applying your student's test scores easy and includes a Lexile® Measurement for Grades 1–12. SUBTESTS: •Word analysis •Reading comprehension •Vocabulary •Mathematics •Language •Spelling •Social studies/science •Listening RESULTS: •Norm-referenced scores: standard, grade equivalent, stanine, and percentile rank •Graphed achievement percentiles •Content cluster skills evaluations •Skills performance ratings •Score interpretation brochure.
**Payment can be made in cash or check made out to SHINE in Duncan. Payment must be received before ordering tests.

SHINE in Duncan is committed to ensuring access to educational activities that enhance your homeschool experience. Providing Standardized Testing Services is one of the ways we seek to serve the Duncan-area homeschool community. We have qualified Test Administrators who have been approved through Bob Jones University's Homeschool Testing, and have volunteered their time to administer The Iowa Tests for your families' testing needs.

SHINE'S 2019 Testing Facts... Deadline to register is Thursday, February 28, 2019.

Testing Dates: Tests will be administered over 3 days, Tuesday, April 30 - Thursday, May 2, 2018

Location: Testing is graciously hosted by First Duncan Baptist Church, located 901 W Ash Ave, Duncan, OK.

Please note: We cannot administer testing to students who participate in EPIC or other public homeschool programs. Please check with your program's administrator regarding testing.

What an amazing weekend with some of our SHINE Families! We headed out to Woodward County on Friday afternoon for our Astronomy Field Trip. A local astronomy club came out on both nights of our trip to help us view the night sky and teach us even more about the cosmos our miraculous God created! We woke up Saturday morning and went on a fun and informative nature hike with UCO professor and fantastic host, Dr. Rebecca Williams, ate lunch, rolled up our sleeves and painted some porches and ramps as a service project, enjoyed another nature lesson and adventure, ate dinner by campfire (including s'mores!) and then saw Venus' atmosphere, Saturn's rings and moons, along with the constellations and several different galaxies! Sunday morning we woke up, ate breakfast, cleaned up and had an awesome worship time before heading home. Here is just a glimpse of our hike through the rolling prairie hills and grasses of northeastern Oklahoma on Saturday morning and dinner with our new astronomer friends on Friday night...
