Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to last week's Employee of the Week!

I have a lot to say about this old lady, but I'll try to keep it short. 😂 The only reason I can give her such a hard time is because she's my sister-in-law... or better yet, my sister. I'm grateful she's put up with me all these years and has never been afraid to keep me in check. Between my daughters and my sisters-in-law, I've got a whole army of ladies making sure I stay in line! 🤣

Now, let me tell you about Sarah Renae Walker.

She's a devoted wife, an amazing momma, a great friend... but a terrible sister. 😂 (Don't worry, she'll get me back for that one!)

Sarah has worked with us for what feels like forever. She's actually our longest-tenured employee—and she's got a few years on the rest of us too! 😆 Throughout the years, she's excelled in every position I've asked her to do, but she truly found her passion as a server.

She loves getting to know our guests, who we proudly call family, and she always goes the extra mile to make everyone feel welcome.

🎉 Ladies and gentlemen, let me introduce you to our Employee of the Week... Brylyn! 🎉

I'm a little late getting this posted, and I do apologize.

Let me tell you about this young man.

Brylyn has been with us for a year, starting when he was just 16 years old. During that time, he has worked his way through several positions. He started as a host, then became our tortilla maker, moved to busboy, then to our to-go specialist, and now he's beginning his journey in the kitchen.

No matter where we've placed him, he has succeeded. He is polite, responsible, reliable, hardworking, and always willing to learn. Those are qualities that are hard to find.

What impresses me the most isn't just the work he does here—it's the person he is outside of work. Brylyn helps take care of his grandma, his uncle, and his little brother at home. That says a lot about his character.

I'm excited to watch him grow in the kitchen, and I'm incredibly grateful for everything he does for our team. He's a tremendous asset to our restaurant, but more importantly, he's become family.

Thank You, Stephens County and Surrounding Communities!

We want to thank everyone for your patience today. As many of you know, we closed early at 8:00 PM so our team could complete a deep cleaning of the restaurant. While we've done this on Sundays in the past, tonight was all about making sure Don Jose's is looking and feeling its best for our guests.

Every table, chair, and more was moved outside so Caleb Jones Power Washing could thoroughly power wash the entire restaurant. Everything is clean, fresh, and back in place—we're ready to welcome you!

Now all we need is for our amazing community to come see us tomorrow. We look forward to serving you delicious food, refreshing drinks, and providing the friendly atmosphere you've come to expect from Don Jose's.

A quick heads-up for tomorrow: Our smoking section will be closed from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM as we welcome a very special guest. The Governor of Oklahoma will be joining us for lunch to see what all the excitement about Don Jose's is about!

We're honored by the visit and look forward to representing Stephens County with outstanding food, exceptional service, and the hospitality that has kept our customers coming back for so many years.

Hello, Stephens County and the surrounding communities!

This week, we'd love for you to stop by and say hello to our Employee of the Week, Gatlin! Below is a picture of him with his favorite Don Jose dish Fajita Enchilada!
If you haven't had the chance to meet this young man yet, be sure to request him as your server. Gatlin is polite, hardworking, caring, and dedicated to providing every guest with outstanding service.
Outside of work, he's also actively training to join the U.S. Marines, and we're incredibly proud of his commitment and dedication.

Hello, Stephens County and the surrounding communities!

First, all of us at Don Jose's want to say thank you for your support since 1992. As many of you know, we are a small family-owned business, and we truly consider every guest who walks through our doors to be part of our family.

Because we care about our customers like family, we also want to do everything we can to keep you safe.

We recently learned about updated regulations from the Oklahoma ABLE Commission that went into effect in November 2025. As part of these changes, all license holders are now required to complete a two-hour training course each time their license is renewed.

My entire staff has completed the required training and is up to date on the new rules. As a result, we will be implementing these policies moving forward.

We know these changes may come as a surprise, but the consequences for not following the law are serious. Restaurants and servers can face the loss of their license, significant fines, and even jail time. Because of that, my team will not risk violating these regulations.

We ask for your patience and understanding as we do our best to follow the law. We want everyone to come out, enjoy themselves, and have a great time, but alcohol service will be at the discretion of your server. Even if you have a designated driver, if you begin showing signs of intoxication, we are legally required to stop serving you. Likewise, if someone else orders a drink and attempts to give it to you after you've been cut off, we are required by law to remove that drink.

While these changes may be inconvenient at times, I truly believe they will help reduce drunk driving, accidents, injuries, and loss of life. They also help protect our law enforcement officers, who too often have to witness the tragic consequences of impaired driving.

We know we have some of the best margaritas in Texoma, and we want you to enjoy them responsibly. Most importantly, we want to make sure you get home safely so we can welcome you back again.

Thank you for your continued support, your patience, and your understanding. We appreciate every one of you and look forward to serving our community for many years to come.
