Sorry to have to post this message.
To the person who dumped rotting meat in our dumpster, we have your name and address.
⚠️ Courtesy Notice to Everyone.⚠️
Please DO NOT use our dumpster.
Unauthorized dumping is illegal.
1. We fill it to the brim with our own trash.
2. Dumpster service is VERY EXPENSIVE!
3. Illegal dumping creates odors, attracts pests, and leaves us to clean up someone else’s mess. And can be a health hazard.
4. We have cameras.
Please respect our property and dispose of your trash legally. Thank you.
Ye Olde Inn
P.S. Here's the Legal Consequences.
Theft of Services:
Commercial dumpsters are private property, and businesses pay waste management companies based on "specific volume."
Tossing your garbage inside is legally considered stealing a paid service.
Illegal Dumping:
Unauthorized disposal often violates local sanitation and littering ordinances, leading to formal citations or court appearances.
Criminal Charges: Depending on the jurisdiction and the volume or hazardous nature of the trash, offenders can face misdemeanor charges, mandatory community service, or in extreme cases, a brief jail sentence.
Restitution: Judges may order you to pay restitution to cover extra pickup fees or cleanup costs incurred by the business.
Fines: Fines can range from $50 to over $1,000.
