Sturbridge Coffee Roasters opened in 2004 in historic Sturbridge, MA, in a small space where beans were roasted and delicious coffee drinks were served to locals and tourists. We quickly discovered that our customers also wanted a place to relax with their coffee, which led to the relocation 5 miles down the road to our present location in Southb

ridge, Mass. Here, we are able to provde not only those same exceptional freshly roasted beans, but also additional seating and light lunches. In August 2014, the business was sold to the current owner and coffee lover, Elvis Dyer. We plan to expand our bean offerings to provide opportunities for coffee lovers to experience new flavor profiles and beans from around the world.

Are you part of the SCR mug club. Didn’t know we had one did you? Should you be? Today if you are hot coffee for a buck, iced for a buck and a half. All other 16 oz drinks buck off in your mug.

Today the Southbridge tent is open again. Hot and cold coffee. Red Bull infusions and Italian sodas. And of course pounds of coffee. The nice bonus for you all out there. The crew can go in and get what you need.

Dudley and Charlton have been busy and rocking and we greatly appreciate you all. Keeps the crew busy and full of hours. Especially the college kids that are hungry for hours.

Farmers markets. Spencer on Saturday 12-4 cold brew will be the spotlight in this blazing afternoon. And Sturbridge on Sunday as we get back to the companies first home town. We are bringing all the usuals Can’t wait to get back at and see all our amazing farmers markets customers. Cheers

So we did a thing. Speaking of keeping secrets Interesting little story here Indulge me please. A couple months back Karen came to me and said “ever hear of Bri’s Sweet Treats, Worcester ?" Both Karen and Bri are graduates of Clark University . And a collaboration began. Bri's candy and our fresh roasted coffee. Two local businesses working together to create something new for everyone. I love that. And I am proud to announce the initial results of this collab We have milk chocolate candy bars with our own Brazil Cerrado in it. So good. For my dark candy peeps we have one that’s dark chocolate candy with Colombian Supremo AA in it. Nice. And we also have an Espresso bark with our own proprietary espresso blend coarse ground into it. You gotta try this out.
Now the kicker. When I was a teenager I dreamed of having my own candy bar someday. Being a big fan of the Babe Ruth bars I fancied one similar with my name on it. The Elvis Bar. I know Graceland probably would have been on me quick but it is my legal name. And the kicker. Almost no one in my life has ever known this. Not my wife, not most of my family, no one. My own little dream. And today we present to you my Elvis bar made out of chocolate candy and my own coffee. Roasted by me and introduced into these candy bars by Bri (she didn’t know about this either)

And starting this Sunday June 7th we will be on the Sturbridge Commons for the market from 9-1 every Sunday for the next 19-20 weeks. So save the date Sunday and show us and Sturbridge some SCR love. We will be locked and loaded with our much loved cold brew, hot coffee, lemonade, iced tea, Red Bull infusions, italian sodas and of course our own fresh roasted local coffee. So come on down !!!

Congratulations to our Gianna. While she doesn’t like to smile she has a great one. She doesn’t always like to work but is very good at her job. She’s been with us for a few years, I believe we are her first “real” job. She is part of a core team on the weekends in Charlton who deliver awesome food,drink and service to you for SCR. Outside of a vacation each year she’s almost never missed a shift. Today she is missing her shift with the bosses blessings. Congratulations Gianna. Embrace the day G as you end one phase and begin a new one. I’m very proud of you today.

Hey Southbridge, day 2 of our pop up tent. Swing by and say hi to Ariana and Alex grab yourself a cup of hot coffee or iced coffee and a pound of two of coffee beans. They’ll be there till about 1 o’clock today unless I run out and our plan is every Thursday and Friday and if they’re real busy, we’ll open it up to Wednesday.

Teaser. Tomorrow we are planning to do a pop up tent in front of the roastery. We were in getting our permit last week and plan to have hot and iced coffee. You will be able to pick up pounds of coffee. As well as Red Bull infusions and Italian sodas. Ari and Alex will be running the pop up. So stop in and see them. If it remains successful we will do all summer and maybe expand to more days. Right now it’s Thursday and Friday. You have been asking for us to come back for a few years. Let’s see what happens. It’s also good practice for them in case I have enough staffing to participate in the farmers market as well. Cheers.
