Found this cute tea shop, Hebden Tea, in The Shambles district of York, and found a few teas from their very large selection that piqued my curiosity.

There will be a tasting of one of the teas on Saturday, June 20, so stop by the market (Danville, VA Farmers' Market Vendors) for a sample. Unfortunately, I am not bringing enough home to sell.

Off to York tomorrow where I am going to look for a tea shop!

When u want to surrender your adult dog to the shelter because you work long hours, the kids aren’t helping, and you feel in your heart that your dog deserves more time and attention… please understand this:

The shelter is NOT the place where they are suddenly going to receive that.

We work really hard to make sure our dogs get walks, yard time, enrichment, and love. But at the end of the day, most shelter dogs are still spending about 23 hours a day in a kennel surrounded by barking, stress, noise, and unfamiliar people.

That is not an “upgrade” from your home.

Your dog would rather wait for you on the couch. They would rather nap in your quiet house while you’re at work than sit confused and heartbroken in a shelter kennel wondering why their family never came back.

Dogs sleep a large portion of the day. They do not need perfection. They need consistency, familiarity, comfort, and the people they love.

And when families surrender older dogs who have spent years loving them unconditionally, the sadness and confusion these dogs feel is absolutely heartbreaking.

Before giving up on your dog, really ask yourself:
Is this truly what’s best for THEM?
Or are there ways to make things work a little better at home?

Sometimes dogs need less than we think.
And sometimes staying with the family they love is the greatest gift we can give them.

Yes, this is an empty Sunday Morning Breakfast Box. Owloyious and I are taking a break from baking this week and then we are on vacation.

This week, May 30, there will be no Breakfast Box, but we will be at the Danville, VA Farmers' Market Vendors. Then we are on vacation June 6 and June 13; we will not be at the market. (I will be in the UK) The Sunday Morning Breakfast Box will return on June 20.

To date, with your support, 84 bakery boxes were sold, five Promise Flower Mugs, and 2 tea shirts. $1,018.00 has been raised from the proceeds and donations to benefit Walk to End Alzheimer’s. THANK YOU!!!

Now, it is time to put the kettle on to make "...a lovely cup of tea."
