So… what do you do with egg whites not used in a recipe? And you are feeling a bit adventurous? And up to tackling the Mount Everest of cookies?

You once again try to bake a successful macaron!🤞

They are in the resting stage. And look like they may be on the path to success. The bake will tell.

Well the macarons didn’t turn out too bad but they aren’t perfect:
Not all the same size
Some cracked
Slightly underbaked (didn’t release easily from the parchment)

But, all the cookies have the iconic feet.

Next step is to fill them. Thinking a mint flavored chocolate ganache.

This week I needed to bake bread for the house and switched it up a bit from my regular whole wheat bread to rye bread. Which inspired me to adapt the scone recipe to a rye scone. Let me know if this variation is a keeper. (I received many thumbs up on last week’s Peanut Butter Sweet Roll w/chocolate glaze.).
