Hello everyone. Its that time of year again. We will be hosting our annual Veterans Day Dinner on Thursday, Nov. 11 th. This will be twentieth year of honoring all our military members. It is just our small way of saying Thank you to all the veterans for their service that we may enjoy our freedom So please come out and help us say thank you. The dinner will be from 5 to 7 pm. and there is no charge for any veteran. There will be a choice of pulled pork or country fried steak with all the trimmings. These will be the only meals we will be serving that night so we ask out customers to understand that we are honoring those who have served their country. A heartfelt thanks from all of us here at DJ's.

Good Morning !!!! Well thanksgiving is over but Christmas is yet to come. Say are you tired of cooking and baking? If so, then come on out to the diner and we will cook for you. Today we will be serving OPEN FACED ROAST BEEF, MASHED POTATOES WITH GRAVY AND MIXED PEAS AND CARROTS. We even have HOMEMADE FRIED PIES for dessert. Our pies are made for us by MS. BETTY GOLDEN and if you have not had one, you really do not know what you are missing. Come on out and join us. Everyone have a safe and blessed day !!!!!

Well Good Morning everyone. Did everyone have a great Thanksgiving? Hope everybody has survived all the rain so far. I am just really glad that we have not had all the ice. Say are you tired of eating on all that leftover turkey? If so come on out to the diner for lunch. We will be serving CHICKEN FRIED STEAK, MASHED POTATOES WITH GRAVY, OKRA, PINTO BEANS AND A ROLL. BBBBBRRRRRRR !!!!!! It is cold outside--as I am sure most of you have figured out. I really hate to see the cold of winter come along--seems the older I get the less my poor ole body can tolerate the cold. Say do you need a good, hot, fill you up meal today? If so come on by the diner and get a plate lunch. We will be serving CHICKEN AND DRESSING, YAMS, GREEN BEANS, CORN, ROLL AND CRANBERRY SAUCE. We have already had several people order their plates after I posted the spoiler alert last week. Deborah's dressing is sssssooooo good-- and is one of our most popular plates---so better hurry if you want one!!!! Everyone have a safe, warm, blessed day!!!!!!

Good Morning !!!! Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Well are you ready for a good lunch? If so , please join us. We will be serving PORK TENDERLOIN, MASHED POTATOES WITH BROWN GRAVY, OKRA, WHITE BEANS AND A ROLL. Great meal !!!! Just to give you a little spoiler alert for next Sunday--and Deborah may kill me--but here goes. We will be serving our Thanksgiving Dinner next week and you all know that will include Deborah's Chicken and Dressing. UUUMMM!!!!! She does a great job on the dressing and it usually goes fast, so better get there early. I know that I cannot wait---LOL. Hope everyone has a safe and blessed day......

Well everyone we had a great turnout for our annual Veterans Day dinner. We were extremely pleased and proud to serve each one that came. John had a wonderful surprise visit from his friend Jim Jones and wife from Texas. They served in Vietnam together. Did you catch the Channel 11 news that night? They came to cover the reunion of John and Jim after 40 years. Wonderful!!!! There were representatives from every war all the way back to WW2 in attendance. If you could not come this year, please try to join us next year--we would love to have you all. We would also like to thank KALLSNICK, INC. in Batesville. They have helped us sponsor this event for several years. The staff of DJs did a super job of taking care of everyone and we thank each and every one of them !!!!!!

Good Morning!!!!! Well it is beginning to feel more like fall with the cooler weather. And the LEAVES !!!! We have lots of big oak trees in our yard and normally I love these trees---until it is time to rake up all those leaves--LOL. I love watching the deer come into the yard to eat all the acorns too--so pretty and graceful. Well, folks how about a great lunch today? We will be serving HAMBURGER STEAK, MASHED POTATOES WITH BROWN GRAVY, CORN, GREEN BEANS AND A ROLL. Sounds good, huh? Please join us if you can. REMEMBER ----- We are having our Veterans Dinner on Wednesday evening. Please share the word with everyone--we would love to have a packed house filled to the brim with Veterans. Just a reminder also folks----DJ's will be having our annual Veterans Day dinner on November 11. All veterans -- both past and present -- will dine free of charge to thank each and every one of them for their service to our country. We will be serving CHICKEN FRIED STEAK, MASHED POTATOES AND GRAVY, BAKED BEANS, ROLL, DESSERT AND A DRINK. If you are a veteran,come join us. If you know a veteran, please tell them or better yet bring them out to join us. We will be honored to serve you. This will be our 14th year to do so and we all look forward to this day every year. We will be closing after lunch that day to set up for the dinner. We will have drawings for door prizes, lots of good food and fellowship, and you never know what may happen. So if you see a vet -- thank them for protecting the freedom we all share. THANK YOU!!!!!

Happy Halloween everyone!!! Sure hope the rain lets up in time for all the little ghosts and goblins tonight. Be sure and bring the little ones by the diner tonight to get their treats. Cannot wait to see all the monsters, princesses, goblins, and whoever else may be lurking in the shadows. They are always so cute!!!! So the special tomorrow at the diner will be MEXICAN CHICKEN, SALAD, WHOLE CORN AND A ROLL. Be sure to come out and get yours before it all is gone. REMEMBER to set your clocks back tonight also. Happy rainy Sunday everyone!!!! We sure did need the rain so I will not complain one bit. Hope everyone stays dry and warm. The perfect place to do that today will be the diner. We will be serving SMOKED PULLED PORK, POTATO SALAD, CORN ON THE COB, BAKED BEANS AND A ROLL. The pulled pork is really good and has been smoked for us by Mr. J. L. Stone and we thank him very much!!!!! So why not come out and give it a try----I am positive that you will not be disappointed!!!! See you ther. Have a safe, blessed day.

Good Sunday Morning everyone!!!!!! BRRR -- quite a nip in the air today -- makes me want to consider getting out the winter woolies. Do you like a good, hot meal on days like today? If so, then come join us at the diner today. We will be serving--MEATLOAF, MASHED POTATOES WITH GRAVY, WHITE BEANS, CORN AND A ROLL. Good Morning !!!! It is a cool start to what promises to be a beautiful fall day. Hope everyone can get out and enjoy. When you feel those hunger pains hit you, why not come out to the diner for a great, fill you up meal.
