Our Chicken alla Vodka has been a particular hit with the smaller members of the household: shredded chicken, our homemade vodka sauce, fresh basil, Parmesan + Asiago, all wrapped up in our flaky pastry dough.

We’re feeling peachy over here at Empanada Mama now that it’s August!!!

We’ve decided to roast those super sweet end of summer peaches with cinnamon, vanilla, brown sugar, and cardamom. Then we stir in a little cream cheese at the end for some ultra rich texture and a danish vibe.

It begs for a strong cup of coffee as a mid afternoon pick-me-up!

There were at least 15 requests for this empanada flavor last week, and so we had to deliver….Indian Butter Chicken is back on the menu this week.

We marinate the chicken overnight in yogurt with ginger & garlic paste. The next day, we cook the chicken with tomato paste, cream, clarified butter, Kashmiri chili, and coriander. After it’s finished cooking we fold in some fresh cilantro and stuff it into our little pastries!!

We highly recommend adding one or two…or three…to your order!!

Some flavors stay with you long after you’ve returned home…

While traveling through Sicily, we fell in love with the island’s enormous lemons—bright, fragrant, juicy, and hanging abundantly from the trees. We knew we had to bring a little piece of that sunshine back to Doylestown.

Filled with silky housemade Sicilian lemon curd cream and sweet blueberry compote, then dusted with brown sugar and baked until golden perfection.

Bright, tangy, and just sweet enough—like summer in southern Italy wrapped in a hand pie. 🇮🇹☀️
