Looking forward to those snowy days when the world is covered in a blanket of white and you are covered up in your own blanket?

Or maybe you don’t mind the cold and you love catching snowflakes on your tongue and making snowmen and snow cream?

Here are lots of options for banishing boredom and making the most of the snow, both indoors and out.

INDOORS

Stay all nice and warm and cozy indoors and watch the snowfall from your window.

Sit by the fire and play games; knit or crochet; or read books and magazines.

Take a bubble bath: Add variety with Epsom salt and essential oils.

Stay warm in the kitchen by the oven: Bake up a storm and try cooking a new recipe.

Camp out in the living room and make a tent with blankets and chairs.

Have a movie marathon or binge-watch TV shows.
Create a winter playlist.

Do a recording project: Put your musical talent to creative use and utilize a home or professional recording studio to create a single, EP or album.

Catch up on penmanship: Correspond with a pen pal and surprise friends by enclosing stickers, confetti, rhinestones, sequins, a bookmark, or pressed flowers.

Luxuriate with a DIY Home Spa.

Winter Tidying Up: Clear clutter, clean and organize your environment.

Grow an indoor garden: Exercise your green thumb indoors with herbs and flowers.

Brush up on your creative writing:
Write a poem, song, or short story and share it with someone special.

OUTDOORS

Don’t miss out on the snow! Bundle up and get out there and play. Be sure to dress in enough layers and don outerwear to stay warm in the cold!

Make snow angels, snowballs, snow forts, snowmen, snowwomen, snowkids, and snow animals. Try using candy for the faces and buttons or bowties.

Catch snowflakes on your tongue.

Do a winter wonderland photoshoot solo or with your loved ones, including your furry ones.

Go tubing, sledding, skiing, and snowboarding.

Volunteer to shovel people’s driveways or get paid for clearing their snow.

Make a snow maze or labyrinth that leads to a snow fort.

Make snow cream or your own creative custom drink. Make cocktails or mocktails using fresh, clean slushy snow as your ice.

Color the snow. Who says snow has to be white? Fill a spray bottle with water and add a few drops of food coloring. Shake and spray.

Take those hula hoops, balls and frisbees outside, get fit and burn some calories.

Feed your feathered friends: Set up bird feeders in your backyard or scatter seeds around.

Blow bubbles and enjoy watching them freeze.

Play tic-tac snow with pinecones and sticks.

Make strands of cranberries and popcorn (sans butter) and hang them from the trees to nourish the birds.

Put a playhouse or play castle outdoors and stage imaginative plays.

Create a scavenger hunt and track down your treasures!

Throw snowballs at bull’s eye targets or see who can throw the snowballs the farthest.

Shoot basketball hoops with snowballs.

Imitate different animals in the snow: Stomp like a bear and growl; waddle like a penguin; slither through the snow like a snake and hiss; and wiggle like a fish.

Put glow sticks in the snow and illuminate your winter wonderland.
