In life sometimes there is no right or wrong time. Im posting this with great excitement and sadness and hope. The last day of Unbeetable will be Oct 18th. I’ve made the decision so that it can grow to even bigger places.
What most people don’t know is I start my days around 6 am and mostly don’t come home until 9:30/10 o’clock at night. This isn’t me complaining about the life I chose, I average this shift around 5 days a week and the other two days are shorter but still consumed with running two businesses as one person. Whether I am on the floor all day, going to Restaurant Depot, creating, doing customized catering, or event planning, my life has been solely consumed by 2 businesses.
I absolutely love what I do and the mission behind both my restaurants. But I’ve recently come to acknowledge it is not a sustainable life for me. It’s taken a great toll on my happiness, personal life, personal goals and enjoying the other great opportunities in life.
I don’t want this to discourage anyone from opening a business, especially a vegan one. Unbeetable is a smashing success and we created something utterly unique. If it wasn’t, we would have had to close our doors a long time ago. It’s been a place for people to hang out, eat, play games, go on dates, catch up with old friends and everything in between. We’ve helped people enjoy vegan food, incorporate it more into their lives and even helped people completely make the switch to full vegan lifestyle.
For me it’s exciting to share with everyone that it’s a great thing in life to take risks, do something new, and at the end of the day, it’s okay to completely change course. Take Two will remain open 7 days a week serving all vegan breakfast and lunch, as well as our amazing donuts and pastries, and this will even give us more time to do more exciting things there.
We are so deeply grateful for everyone that has joined us for a drink, a meal or a night they will never forget at Unbeetable. Until our last night we encourage and hope you will join us one, two, or six more times before we say goodbye.
