"Éire" by Beatrice Elvery(Beatrice Moss Campbell)
1883-1970.

Beatrice Elvery was born in Dublin, living her early years in Carrickmines and Foxrock and her first exhibition for the Royal Irish Academy was in 1902. She herself modelled for William Orpen and a fellow student in Paris was another talented artist Estella Solomons. Later she would design Christmas cards and calendars for the Cuala Press and was a talented stained glass artist. I love this work in particular, from 1907.
