🚨🚨 SCAM ALERT!!! ENTREPRENEURS & BUSINESS OWNERS, PLEASE READ & SHARE! 🚨🚨
EVERY OPPORTUNITY ISN’T A REAL OPPORTUNITY! 💯
I want to share something that recently happened to us at Aunt Mary’s Kitchen because I don’t want another hardworking business owner falling victim to this!
We recently received what appeared to be an invitation to participate in the Schellville Holiday Celebration 2026. 🎄
I was SUPER EXCITED! Another opportunity to expand our brand, reach new customers, and continue doing what we love!
But unfortunately, that excitement quickly turned into disappointment when we discovered IT WAS A SCAM! 🤦🏾♂️
🚩 HERE’S WHAT CAUGHT MY ATTENTION IMMEDIATELY!
The person was claiming to represent a major event, but their email address ended in .com instead of an official company or organization domain.
Now don’t get me wrong, not everyone using Gmail or Yahoo is a scammer! But when you’re representing a major organization and requesting payments from vendors, that’s definitely something worth questioning!
Instead of sending money, I decided to do my own research and contact the organization directly.
AND SURE ENOUGH, THE SCAM WAS CONFIRMED! 🚨
Imagine how many small business owners could fall for something like this simply because they’re excited about a new opportunity!
As entrepreneurs, we invest our TIME, MONEY, BLOOD, SWEAT & TEARS into building our businesses! We cannot afford to let people take advantage of that!
💡 MY ADVICE TO EVERY BUSINESS OWNER:
✅ VERIFY who you’re doing business with!
✅ CHECK email addresses carefully!
✅ CONTACT event organizers through their official websites!
✅ NEVER send payments without confirming the opportunity is legitimate!
✅ DON’T let excitement override your judgment!
I was definitely disappointed because I was looking forward to being part of this event. But I’m grateful I caught the red flags before sending ANY MONEY!
SOMETIMES THE OPPORTUNITY THAT LOOKS LIKE A BLESSING IS REALLY SOMEONE TRYING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU!
I’m not posting this for sympathy. I’m posting this for AWARENESS! 💯
If sharing my experience prevents even ONE entrepreneur from losing their hard-earned money, then this post served its purpose!
PLEASE SHARE! YOU NEVER KNOW WHO NEEDS TO SEE THIS! 🙏🏾
