My daughter is kind of obsessed with cats, so naturally I made her a cat cake for her birthday! It was an extra fun flavor: funfetti cake with one layer of chocolate frosting inside, and one layer of cookie dough frosting inside, and regular buttercream on the outside!

A NEW FAVORITE! 😍
There are three things I love about this cake:
#1 - the flavor! It’s a white cake with a thick layer of cream cheese frosting and fresh sliced strawberries in between… I mean, what could be better than strawberries and cream?! (It was also served with extra sliced berries and whipped cream on top.)

#2 - the shape! I love the square, it lends itself so well to elegant, sophisticated or simple, depending on how you finish it. And, BONUS: it was really easy to cut into even slices. 🙂

#3 - the occasion! This was for my sisters engagement party!! I’m so happy for the couple and I can’t wait to make their wedding cake too!

Tell me what you think….? If you had a simple square cake like this, what flavors would you want to try? Chocolate and raspberry?? White cake and strawberry? Coconut and caramel? So many good options!
