Be sure to follow us on Facebook for our events schedule! If you're at all familiar with LA, (lower Alabama that is), then you know firsthand what good food and fellowship tend to have in common... Family...Yep, that's right. You see, it's all we've known our entire lives. Many of our Sunday afternoons were always filled with family, fun, and fellowship. Our Daddy created "the family circle" what would later become a known ritual if you ever visited us for dinner. Every Sunday around the dinner table you would find that circle. Everyone would have their opportunity to say whatever was on their heart. Some only shared a "hello" while others had a speech ready to deliver. You see, our dad, the late Alphonso Kincey, Jr. was a legend in our world. His heart was for Jesus; his passion was for people. Didn't matter where you came from, where you were going, if you needed something, he was always ready to lend a helping hand, or better yet, a hot meal. Our dinner table seemed to be open to "whosoever" wanted to come. Our mom would tarry in the kitchen as early as Saturday morning prepping for the Sunday Dinner, while Dad normally "manned the Grill" or fried up some good ole' catfish. Together, they fed many within the walls of our country home right outside of Abbeville, AL. No doubt, I'm sure you're wondering where the name "The Rollin' Trapp" came from... well, we're glad you asked! You see, right up the road from our family home was an old family home that belonged to one of our great uncles. We used to call it "the house on the hill". Dad had gardens of vegetables planted there, and from time to time, we'd tarry with him to work the small field. He always used to joke about turning that ole' house into a resturaunt, and when asked what he would call it, he would say "we'll just call it "The Trapp"! "Why Daddy?" one of us would ask and he would say "well..., because once they get a taste of this good food we're gonna serve'em, they'll surely be trapped!" And we all would laugh... not once even imagining it coming into fruition. That was over 20 years ago. In May 2009, Daddy went home to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Yes we do, but we have peace, knowing that God loved him best. So in Daddy's honor, "The Trapp" was birthed. And since it's on wheels, we just added 'Rollin' to it... Hence, "The Rollin' Trapp". Although Daddy is no longer here in the flesh, his legacy will live on. We hope you will join us one of these days at "the Trapp"... we'll do our best to have something to your liking. On any given day, you're likely to find some bbq ribs, catfish, maybe some fried chicken, mac and cheese, cornbread dressing, collard greens, dumplings, and even some good ole' sweet tea! We'll also be sure to have a little something for your sweet side too! Nonetheless, we can't wait to see you and yours soon at "The Rollin' Trapp”! Felecia & Kristie
