Seledorwon USA, INC.

In December 1989, civil war broke out in the Republic of Liberia. As a results of the war, a quarter million civilians were killed, 1.5 million Liberian civilians of the total population of 3 million fled the country to seek refuge in other Western African countries as refugees. After living in refugees camps for nearly seventeen year, Liberian are now returning home to a country ravished by almos

t seventeen year of civil ward. In 1999, in an effort to help returning refugees in rural communities, help themselves in securing the basic human needs such as: food, and clean drinking water, a native of Boinsen Statutory District, Bong County, Republic of Liberia, and a long time resident of Boston, Massachusetts, President, and forming member of Seledorwon USA, Inc. has been working almost single handedly to bring improvements to some impoverished villages in his native Clan in Boinsen Statutory District, Bong County, Republic of Liberia. In 2000, with the help of another volunteer, they were able to obtain a 501(c) (3) status for their organization, Seledorwon USA, INC. However, funding was not available. But that didn’t deter Mr. Yeleboe, and so he invested money from his own pocket, and from willing volunteers in other to bring some of the promised changes to light in some of the villages. The Sustainable Agriculture Development (SAD) program for the Boinsen Statutory District have seven components:
1 Clearing, and laying out farm.
2 Preparing rice nursery and transplanting seedlings.
3 Selecting, and building irrigation dam.
4 Digging irrigation channel, and drainage channels.
5 Operating, and maintain tractor.
6 Processing, and applying green manure.
7 Operating, and maintaining modern simple implements.
