Join us in making a difference—100% of the proceeds from every orange donut sold during the event will be donated to the National Kidney Foundation in support of one of our very own search for a kidney donor.
Every orange donut purchased helps raise awareness, brings hope, and supports a cause that is deeply personal to our bakery family.

Hope & Heroes: Living Kidney Donation Awareness Day

A free community event being held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to Noon at Solano Baking Company in Dixon in the adjacent Suite C and outdoor dining area.

The event was inspired by my husband's journey with chronic kidney disease and his current wait for a kidney transplant through UCSF. While our family's story sparked this event, our mission is much broader—to educate our community about kidney disease and living kidney donation while creating a welcoming space for learning, conversation, and hope.

This is not a fundraiser or marketing event.
It is simply an opportunity for our community to:

Learn about living kidney donation

Ask questions

Meet individuals whose lives have been touched by kidney disease

Connect with trusted organizations and resources

Hi friends, we are holding a Hope & Heros event on Saturday, July 11th from 8am - 12pm. The purpose of the event is to learn about kidney disease and living kidney donation, offer support by those affected and instill hope. If sharing our family’s journey helps educate even one person about living donation, it’s worth it. We hope to see you there and please share! ❤️
