Menu: A five course tasting experience!
South Dakota
Classic South Dakota Pear Kuchen
Kuchen (the German word for "cake") was brought to South Dakota in the 1880s by German-Russian immigrants. Resourceful farm families used basic staples like eggs, flour, and heavy cream to create this comforting custard-filled treat. It became such a staple of local culture that the legislature officially named kuchen South Dakota’s state dessert in 2000.
Tennessee
Tennessee onion dip is a creamy, savory Southern favorite made with sweet caramelized onions and rich dairy, often served with chips, crackers, or toasted bread. Inspired by the classic American onion dips that became popular in the mid-20th century, Tennessee’s version reflects the South’s love of hearty, homemade flavors and dishes meant for sharing.
Texas Brisket Sliders
Texas brisket is a slow-smoked beef brisket known for its tender texture, smoky flavor, and simple seasoning, usually just salt and black pepper. Rooted in Texas barbecue traditions, brisket became a defining dish of the state through generations of pitmasters who perfected the art of cooking tough beef low and slow over wood, creating the rich, flavorful barbecue Texas is famous for. Wait until you try Chef’s version!!!
Utah
Utah funeral potatoes are a creamy, cheesy potato casserole topped with crispy cornflakes, known for their rich, comforting flavor and golden, crunchy topping. A beloved Utah tradition, the dish became popular through community and family gatherings, where it was often served after funerals and at holidays, earning its memorable name and place in Utah’s food culture.
Vermont
Vermont maple baked bean stew is a hearty, slow-cooked dish combining tender beans, smoky bacon, onions, and Vermont maple syrup for a rich sweet-and-savory flavor. Inspired by traditional New England baked beans, it reflects Vermont’s long maple-sugaring tradition and love of simple, comforting foods made for family gatherings and cold-weather meals.
