☀️🔥 IMPORTANT MARKET UPDATE FOR THIS SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5TH! 🔥☀️
With the heat in the forecast, we’re making a small change to help protect our vendors, shoppers, and products while still giving everyone a chance to enjoy the market!
⏰ SALES WILL BEGIN EARLY AT 7:00 AM THIS SATURDAY!
We encourage everyone to COME EARLY, shop early and beat the heat! As temperatures rise throughout the morning, the market may end earlier than our normal noon closing time if conditions become too hot.
Our normal market hours remain 8 AM–12 PM, but for Saturday, September 5th, you can begin shopping at 7 AM. 🌽🍎🥕🌻
🐾 And please remember our four-legged friends! Hot pavement and sidewalks can become dangerously hot for your pup’s paws. Before bringing your dog, check the pavement with the back of your hand and consider whether they may be safer staying home in the air conditioning. ❤️🐶

Please be aware that messages left for pie orders are not guaranteed unless you hear back from me as confirmation. As has been our practice for several years, orders must be received by Wednesday at 6:00 pm for pick-up at the Farmers Market.

... FYI, we are shutting down preorders for July 4, 2026, Farmers Market pickup, due to some unforeseen circumstances. It will be first come first serve at 8:00 am, on Saturday, July 4th. We appreciate and thank you for your understanding and your support. Have a wonderful weekend and please, be safe!

I'm posting to remind everyone that we have become so busy on Thursday and Friday and we have stopped taking orders on those two days during the Farmers Market season. Please place your orders by Wednesday so I can adjust my regular pie schedule to accomodate the extra orders. We do not have time to answer the phones on Thursadys and Fridays.

What an incredible Opening Day for the 2026 Effingham Farmers Market season!

We are overwhelmed by the support shown by our community on Saturday morning. The turnout was absolutely amazing and, without a doubt, one of the largest crowds we've seen in years. Many of our vendors were completely sold out by 10 AM—or even earlier! 🥕🍓🧁

To every customer who came out to shop, visit with vendors, enjoy the entertainment, and support local businesses, THANK YOU. Your support means more than you know.

What many people don't see are the countless hours spent behind the scenes planning, organizing, recruiting vendors, coordinating entertainment, designing layouts, solving challenges, and working to make the Effingham Farmers Market the very best it can be. Seeing so many smiling faces and such an incredible turnout makes all of that hard work worthwhile.

Saturday's success wasn't just a win for the Effingham Farmers Market—it was a win for every farmer, baker, maker, artist, small business owner, and customer who believes in supporting local. We are incredibly grateful and excited to see our community come together in such a big way.

As wonderful as Opening Day was, we're just getting started! We hope you'll continue to make the Effingham Farmers Market part of your Saturday morning routine each week through October 31st.

Join us every Saturday from 8 AM–12 PM on the Old Courthouse Lawn in Downtown Effingham and help us continue building something special for our community.

One more week and we will be at the Effingham Farmers Market every Saturday morning from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm. Come on out and spend the morning with all of our magnificient vendors. We have the best!!! While you're there, you can pick up the freshest produce, local honey, baked goods, fresh flower bouquets, garden plants, house plants, wood products, etc. We are anxious to see all our friends!

There are times in this business that stand out and make it all very special. I call them "God Winks." This last weekend, we delivered our pies to a wedding venue. The bride's mother was so easy to work with, and during the course of the planning, I learned we had so many past tenacles that had united us for years. Some meetings are just meant to be. Then, at delivery, we met a couple from Pine and Pearls Events who arrived at the same time. Low and behold we had serviced their wedding a few years ago. What a blessing! At times like these, I am in awe of how great our God is! Thank you, Justy and Aaron, for choosing us to be a part of your special event!
