OPEN for lunch 11:30-1:30 am. We have a plant-based seasonal menu that our chef creates herself, with a focus on delicious flavor combinations. Please don't let that (plant-based) stop you from stopping in and giving us a try. We have plenty of avid meat eaters that come in and enjoy the food. We are 100% by donation, we do have listed suggested donations on our menu

. Our suggested donations just covers the food cost, as we understand eating out is difficult for many right now, and we would love to make this food available to as many people as possible. We are able to operate this way because of the amazing people from all over central Maine that volunteer their time here, and because people are willing to come try something new. Tuesday night we hold a Bible study/ discussion at 6:30pm. We are just reading through the Bible together. ALL WELCOME! To sign up for the next weeks menu and other activities; send us an email and type "menu please" in the subject line and send it to [email protected]. We will send you weekly updates on what we have going on in Gatherings. Gatherings dinning room space available for rent. We keep Sundays open for this purpose but maybe able to scheduled other days (Fridays and Saturdays are unavailable), money goes towards running costs. Our special this week at Gatherings 4 Main Street is lasagna. If you don’t come try it, you’re going to miss out. That’s all I can say. Gatherings is open for lunch from 11:30-1:30 Wed-Fri, so if you can come during that time and give it a try, we’re sure you’ll be glad you did.

Over the course of the week we’re planning to have several varieties: one for the mushroom lovers, one for the protein lovers, and one for the veggie lovers. It comes with garlic bread or toasted baguette and a small salad while supplies last.

Wendy and Alilia did several hours of prep today after shopping for all the ingredients for our menu. The mushrooms are ready. The sauce is ready. Please appreciate that we’re making everything from scratch that we can, including the cheese. We simmered the pasta sauce for 1 1/2 hours and it tastes amazing.

We’re all volunteers and we hope you can taste the love in the food that we make for you.

We make it as healthy and tasty as we can. Your cardiovascular system will thank you for eating our food.

Our special this week at Gatherings 4 Main Street in Dexter is a vegetable korma over rice. It’s a delicious and filling mixture of colorful vegetables in a creamy coconut milk curry with undertones of ginger. The potatoes will give you energy for hours!

We also have a little something for dessert if you’re so inclined: drizzilicios mini rice cakes!

My small bowl of korma gave me so much energy that I was able to go for a canoe ride on Lake Wassookeag after lunch with one of our volunteers followed by a 17 mile bike ride to Corinna and back on the rail trail. It was a beautiful day!

Thanks to all who came and made the children’s cooking class enjoyable today! Thanks to Maria from Little Lad’s for putting this together. Thanks to the Quade family and Wendy Kimball for staying to the end to finish cleaning up. Thanks to the Schimp family for coming early and taking some things off our hands to make more space in the basement. Thanks to the Farmer, Kuntze and Hall families for coming and bringing the children. Let’s do this again sometime. 😁

We have been given the word that the scheduled opening for the Rail Trail will be on Friday, May 22nd, 2026.
This also means that the Access Roads in Dexter will be open for riders to get to the Rail Trail.

The special at Gatherings 4 Main Street in Dexter this week is Black Eyed Peas with Kale. It has the kick of garlic and the tang of lemon to enrich your palette and boost your immune system. It’s so warm, hearty and satisfying. Come give it a try for lunch. We’re open Wed-Fri from 11:30-1:30.

Also, this Sunday at 3 pm we’re hosting the Healthy Roots Growing Chefs hands on cooking class for children. We have limited capacity, but we don’t want the children to miss out, so please RSVP as soon as possible so we’ll have a better idea how many ingredients to round up for the class.
