It comes with great sadness that we can no longer struggle against the current economy. Effective Saturday July 9th will be our last day open at BobbyQ in Dewey. With support from ALL our great customers and the hard work and dedication from our awesome employees, we have battled against the pandemic, supply shortages, extreme cost increases of every aspect of the business. We have met some incredible people in the last 2 1/2 years. A HUGE thank you to all our past and current employees. We have had the best group I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Thank you to our family for the unconditional support. None of this could have been done without your help. It was a great run. Thank you to everyone who have blessed us with your business.

To hot to cook dinner. Come enjoy our A/C and some good BobbyQ!!!

Come on out and enjoy the July 4th festivities. We will be set up at the concession stand from 5 to 8.

Due to commercial fireworks being unavailable to our supplier by July 4, there will not be our usual fireworks display this July 4. We will still have the activities in Don Tyler Park on the 4th: live music, free watermelon, food by BobbyQ, popcorn, and the Dewey Duck Derby.

Celebrate our nation's Independence Day this July 4 at Don Tyler Park. There will be live music, free watermelon, food by BobbyQ, popcorn, and The Dewey Duck Derby!

Bring your lawn chairs and plan to spend the evening enjoying the music, food and fun. Music by Let It Ride starts at 6pm, and The Dewey Duck Derby is at 8:45pm.

What is The Dewey Duck Derby? In brief, it is a Fantastic Flotilla of Fake Fowl. It's a rubber duck race down the "Delaware River" that runs through Don Tyler Park. Numbered ducks are sent through an obstacle course down the "Delaware River" trying to get to the finish line first. The first 4 ducks to cross the finish line net their lucky number owners cash prizes! Duck numbers are sold at City Hall starting in June. All money raised goes back into the fund for the next year's 4th of July celebration.

You may wonder, “Why do we celebrate the 4th of July? What does it mean?” Well, this day is incredibly significant in American history, as it marks the day the United States officially became its own nation. The Declaration of Independence was adopted on July 4th, 1776—and thus, America was born.

On July 4th 1776, the United States of America proclaimed its independence from England by signing the Declaration of Independence. While the signing of the Declaration itself was not completed until August, the Fourth of July holiday is seen as the official anniversary of U.S. independence. Try one of our specials for the holiday weekend. We are still serving breakfast daily from 7 am until 11 am.
