The first home game of the season deserves a proper Greektown welcome.

This Sunday, Monroe Street is the place to be before and after the Lions take the field. The Greektown Tailgate brings music, drinks, lawn games, and plenty of reasons to make a day of it. Start with DJ Jon Hennings, catch the game at your favorite Greektown bar or restaurant, then for DJ Tom T takes the celebration into the evening.

The Monroe Street Summer Series continues with live caricatures by Jack Hawk on Friday, a free City Institute walking tour and the Pistons Extreme Team on Saturday, and the Greektown Tailgate on Sunday to kick off the Lions’ home season.

We have been having an absolute blast this summer. ☀️

There’s been so much happening in Greektown, and getting to experience it all from our corner of Monroe Street has made this season especially fun. The energy, the music, the busy patios, the familiar faces and all the new ones, we’ve loved every minute of it.

August may have ended, but we’re not saying goodbye to summer just yet.
