Open since 1933, the Dakota Inn is an authentic German restaurant and beloved Detroit landmark featuring traditional Bavarian recipes, a cozy Rathskeller wine bar, and a giant Biergarten. Kurz, the present owner. 93 years later, Detroit's only authentic German bar is still going strong! Happy Saturday Detroit. It'll be a very special day (and evening) at the Dakota Inn. Our doors open at 12 noon. Enjoy this beautiful weather in the Biergarten or get cozy over a few drinks inside. Special Thursday at the Inn. If you've struggled to get a reservation on a Friday or Saturday during Oktoberfest, tonight would be a great night to visit. We have some open tables in the dining room and a great band under the tent to celebrate Detroit Athletic Club Beavers' opening day. Prost!

FYI - this week Jazz Night will be downstairs in the Rathskeller or possibly outside in the garten, weather permitting. A traditional Oktoberfest band will be in the main dining room entertaining a large dinner party. Still plenty of room for walk-ins looking to enjoy dinner. As always, no cover for Jazz night. The fest we've all been waiting for has finally arrived. Join us this Friday Sept 25th as we officially kickoff Oktoberfest at the Dakota Inn. Ceremonial Proclamation & Tapping of the Keg at 7pm followed by Live Music inside the dining room and outside under the tent. Oktoberfest runs Friday 9/25 through Saturday 10/24. We're open every week Wednesday through Saturday with special events most Sundays. Live music every night (full band / $5 cover every Friday & Saturday). Dinner reservations are pretty much full but walk-ins are welcome and no reservations are needed for Biergarten or downstairs Rathskeller. Here's to another great fest at the Inn! Prost!!!
