We feeding Detroit with dignity every quarter. This August, we launch our first 100-person community meal drop at Rosa Parks Transit Center.

Each Feed the D kit includes:
🥪 3 fresh sliders (Ham & Cheese, Turkey & Cheese, Steak & Cheese)
🥫 Tuna & Crackers
💧 Bottled water (secured ✅)
🥤 Juice or soda

Party Favorite… Chef Mars approved:
Baked Salmon Meatballs with Avocado Garlic Cream 🐟🥑 🧄

Ingredients:

For the Meatballs:
• 1 lb fresh salmon fillet, finely chopped (skin removed)
• ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
• 1 egg, lightly beaten
• 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• ½ tsp smoked paprika
• Salt and black pepper, to taste
• 1 tbsp olive oil (for baking)

For the Avocado Garlic Cream:
• 1 ripe avocado
• ¼ cup sour cream (or Greek yogurt)
• 1 tbsp lemon juice
• 1 clove garlic, minced
• Salt and black pepper, to taste

Directions:
1. Preheat Oven: Set to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and brush lightly with olive oil.
2. Prepare Meatballs: In a bowl, combine chopped salmon, breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
3. Form & Bake: Shape mixture into meatballs and place on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden and cooked through.
4. Make Sauce: Blend avocado, sour cream, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper until smooth. Adjust seasoning if needed.
5. Serve: Drizzle or dip the meatballs in the creamy avocado sauce and garnish with extra parsley.

🔥 Chef’s Tip: Want a crispy edge? Broil the meatballs for the last 2 minutes!

🧨🧨TasteMars: The Galactic Soul Kitchen🧨

Deep-Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Egg Rolls

Sweet, crispy, and coated in cinnamon sugar—this is the ultimate indulgence!

Ingredients:
• 8 oz strawberry cream cheese, softened
• ¼ cup powdered sugar
• ½ tsp vanilla extract
• 6 egg roll wrappers
• 1 egg, beaten (for sealing)
• Oil for frying

Cinnamon Sugar Coating:
• ½ cup lite brown sugar
• 1 tbsp ground cinnamon

Instructions:
1. In a bowl, mix the strawberry cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
2. Lay an egg roll wrapper flat and spoon 2 tbsp of the filling onto the lower third of the wrapper.
3. Fold the bottom of the wrapper over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll tightly. Brush the edge with beaten egg to seal. Repeat with the remaining wrappers.
4. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
5. Fry the egg rolls for 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown and crispy.
6. In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon.
7. Immediately after frying, roll each egg roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat evenly.
8. Serve warm with whipped cream or strawberry sauce for dipping.

Crispy Crab Rolls

By Chef Mars – Enjoy 🎩

Ingredients:

For the Filling:
• 1 lb lump crab meat (fresh or high-quality imitation)
• 4 oz cream cheese, softened
• 1 tbsp mayonnaise
• 1 tsp Dijon mustard
• 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
• 2 tbsp chopped green onions
• 1 tbsp finely chopped red bell pepper
• 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• ½ tsp smoked paprika
• Salt & black pepper to taste

For the Rolls:
• 10 egg roll wrappers (or spring roll wrappers for extra crispiness)
• 1 egg (beaten, for sealing)
• Oil for frying

For the Dipping Sauce:
• ½ cup mayonnaise
• 1 tbsp Sriracha or hot sauce (adjust to taste)
• 1 tbsp honey
• 1 tsp lemon juice
• ½ tsp soy sauce



Instructions:

Step 1: Make the Filling
1. In a bowl, combine crab meat, cream cheese, mayonnaise, mustard, and lemon juice.
2. Add chopped green onions, red bell pepper, parsley, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
3. Mix everything until well combined. Set aside.

Step 2: Assemble the Rolls
1. Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner pointing toward you (diamond shape).
2. Place 2 tbsp of crab filling near the bottom corner.
3. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, tuck in the sides, and roll tightly.
4. Brush the top corner with the beaten egg to seal the roll.
5. Repeat for the remaining rolls.

Step 3: Fry to Perfection
1. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
2. Fry rolls in batches for 3–4 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
3. Remove and drain on a paper towel.

Step 4: Make the Sauce
1. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Sriracha, honey, lemon juice, and soy sauce.
2. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

Step 5: Serve & Enjoy
• Serve the crispy crab rolls hot with the dipping sauce and fresh lemon wedges on the side.
