Tomato season is officially underway.

And look at the size of that thing — in May!

Last week, Farmer Gwen and the farm team planted nearly 200 tomato plants and 250 pepper plants.

That means Sun Golds, Brandywines, Cherokee Purples, jalapeños, poblanos, Turkish sweet peppers, and so much more are on their way to your table later this season.

You’ll see them in salads, in drinks, and all across the menu. Squeee!

And you’ll still get to enjoy them in fall and winter because we preserve the excess to keep those summer flavors going long after summer ends.

Most people don't know Detroit has canals like these.

Next Sunday, we'll launch our first Paddle-to-Table Dinner of the season with our friends at Detroit River Sports.

The evening starts with a guided paddle through Detroit's historic canal district, offering a view of the city most people never see.

Then it's back to Coriander for a welcome drink and a family-style dinner built around seasonal produce from our farm and sustainably raised and caught proteins.

A few seats remain.

Come discover a side of Detroit most people never knew existed.

Sunday, June 7 • 3:15PM arrival • $175 per person
Includes guided paddle, welcome drink, family-style dinner, and gratuity.

Any day is a good day for a Farm Marg at Coriander, but it does pair especially well with Grilled Cheese Monday.

Farm Marg + grilled cheese.
Sounds like a new Monday tradition to us.

We love love down here at Coriander.

This Saturday (5.30) kicks off our spring Love Season, when we get to celebrate weddings for so many wonderful couples.

As we get ready for Rachael + Kenny this weekend, we’ve been thinking back on all the people whose lives are now entwined with ours.

Because that’s the thing about weddings here. People come to us for this one huge, beautiful day, and then we're often lucky enough to keep seeing them. For dinner. For drinks. For new jobs, anniversaries, babies, hard seasons, good news, and just regular old Thursday night dinner.

So over the next few weeks, we’ll be sharing a few favorite wedding moments from over the years — starting with this kiss between Alyssa + Matt, which will simply live in our heads forever.

Coriander will be closed to the public this Saturday, 5/30, for Rachael + Kenny’s wedding. Back Sunday for regular hours.

🚨 Unusual hours alert!

Love Season is upon us, which means we get to turn the restaurant over to some spectacularly wonderful couples to celebrate their weddings.

We’re so excited to toast Rachael + Kenny, Dan + Dana, Alex + Liz, and Jenny + Colin — and to watch their people fill the place with all the beautiful chaos that makes a wedding here so magical.

In order to make these dreams happen, Coriander will be closed to the public on:
• Saturday, May 30
• Saturday, June 6
• Saturday, June 13
• Saturday, June 20

But! We’ll be back open on Sundays, so you can still join us for a Farm Marg. Please consider this an exercise in delayed gratification 🙃

We’re open for Memorial Day AND it’s Grilled Cheese Monday.

Roll on through and soak up some of that promised sun.

Grilled cheese this week is cheddar and jalapeño jam — sweet and tangy with a little bit of heat.

11AM-3PM lunch
5-9PM dinner

Kitchen is closed from 3-5PM but our outside Canal Bar will be open with drinks and snacks!

Reservations available in the bar, dining room and Greenhouse Patio.

Outside seating along the canal is first come-first served, just please check in with the host to be seated. There is often a wait, but we’ll get you a table as quick as we can.
