We are reaching out to see if you or someone you know would consider being a liver donor for Steven James. We would be eternally grateful!! This will save his life!!!

History: Sole owner Fat Tuesday, worked 7 days a week sun up to well after the sun set.

Diagnosed with colon cancer 2016, after chemo, radiation and surgeries, went right back at it, 7 days a week.
2019 cancer metastasized to liver and after treatment went right back to work.
2020 due to radiation, the bile duct in his liver became blocked.
2021 prognosis … days to weeks to live.
Our heros at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio took his case and said they could save his life by a liver transplant.
2022 put on the list for liver transplant, now we wait…

He is only eligible for a living donor right now, as the wait for a deceased donor would be too long 😔

I have shared the information below, please forward, if you know of someone. Here are some pieces of information that may be helpful!

1) Liver donors can be any blood type.
2) Only a portion of the living donors liver will be used.
3) The liver will grow back within 2-4 weeks to it’s normal size and be fully functional within a week of the donation.
4) It is a major surgery and depending on the type of work you do, will return back to work within 1-2 weeks. 2-3 days in the hospital after surgery.
5) Donors: Need a normal BMI (body mass index), cannot be a smoker as healing will be risky, healthy liver, Etc.
6) 18-60 years old

I wanted to reach out to update you on Steven’s status:
1) With your prayers and support Steven is doing well.
2) He is being evaluated for a liver transplant at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio.

Yes, we are going through a lot, but want to hear from all of you! Steven and I miss you sooo much!!! You all have been a part of the best years of our lives and would like to stay in touch!!

I also want to apologize for allowing our former employee to drag me into negativity. I am better than that. You all have shown us your kindness, happiness and generosity and all we want to do now is emulate these actions! 🥰 Life is to short to allow unhealthy people to occupy space in our heads! 😉

You have recognized that every dish that steven made, he made with his special touch, no one can ever duplicate the love he put into all his dishes just for you and your tastebuds. On our last day we will open at 12 noon close at 3 PM and then re-open at 5 PM and close at nine. We will have a limited menu and will not be doing any to go orders. Your love of Fat Tuesday keeps astonishing us day after day after day thank you for all of your love and support!

Change of hours for this evening we are open from 6 PM to 9 PM with limited menu, no to go orders and long waits for food, just please be patient with us and kind to our staff we’re doing the best that we can to serve everybody that would like to come in to Fat Tuesday before we close.  our last day open is Thursday, September 30 our hours at this point will be 11 AM to 2 PM and 5 PM to 9 PM
