Today, after 40 incredible years, we turned off the lights, locked the doors, and closed a chapter that has meant everything to our family. 🫶🏻🇵🇱❤️
What began in the 1980s as a dream carried across an ocean by Polish immigrants searching for opportunity became so much more than a bakery. It became a gathering place. A tradition. A part of countless family celebrations, holiday tables, Sunday mornings, weddings, birthdays, and everyday moments that somehow became memories.
This week, we have been overwhelmed by your kindness. 🥲
Thank you for every hug, every story, every photograph, every tear, every laugh, every memory you shared with us. Thank you for standing in line one more time. Thank you for bringing your children and grandchildren through our doors and telling them, “This is where we always came.” Thank you for allowing us to be part of your lives for four decades.
For many of you, Chrusciki Bakery was woven into your family traditions. The truth is, you became part of ours too.
As heartbreaking as it is to say goodbye to this chapter, we do so with grateful hearts. The little family business our parents built through hard work, sacrifice, determination, and hope gave us a life we could have only dreamed of. It allowed us to grow up together, work side by side, raise families of our own, and build relationships with a community we love so deeply.
Now, it is time for us to spend more time with those families. To enjoy children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the moments that pass far too quickly. That gift is something we will never take for granted.
While our retail doors may be closed, this is not necessarily goodbye forever. 🙏🏻
