Over 5.5 million Italians immigrated to the United States between 1820 and 2000. Today there are over 16 million Americans of Italian descent in the United States, making them the fourth largest ethnic group โ€“ and the country was even named after an Italian, the explorer and geographer ๐˜ผ๐™ข๐™š๐™ง๐™ž๐™œ๐™ค ๐™‘๐™š๐™จ๐™ฅ๐™ช๐™˜๐™˜๐™ž.
Without the Italians, America would be a very different place today. So many of Americaโ€™s discoverers, explorers, and colonizers were of Italian descent.
And don't even get us started on the food! ๐Ÿ

Whether you are of Italian heritage or not, we hope that those who read this will in some way celebrate this month what makes Italian-Americans proud. ๐ŸคŒ
To all the Italian-Americans who contribute to what makes America great, we thank you! ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿคโค๏ธ
