Join Crimson Rose Masquerade and Carw Gwyn mead hall for another summer soirée on Sunday, August 16th with a night of revelry to celebrate Crimson Rose’s ten-year anniversary! Wear your finest fantasy evening wear and join what promises to be an elegant evening!

The event begins at 6:00pm, and the hall will become a ticketed-only entry venue after that hour. The evening will include a costume contest with gift cards to Crimson Rose Masquerade as prizes – 3rd $50 / 2nd $100 / 1st $300!

Remember that if you need help perfecting your look for the event, Crimson Rose Masquerade ( or https://crimsonrosemasquerade.net/ ) features a variety of local artisan’s work, including handmade leather masks, hats, corsetry, clothing, and accessories to help you strut your stuff when joining the festivities! Carw Gwyn welcomes you to the Mead, Makers and Manuscripts event Today! - Wednesday, July 1st - featuring a book swap, crafting and costuming! Bring your books, crafting supplies, and historical attire!

In collaboration with Danu’s Wardrobe, a fantasy pop-up bookstore and immersive event producer, this month’s theme will be “The 13 Colonies” in honor of a certain national holiday, so come in your favorite 17-18th century garb or dress as an early American author, and share your best costuming secrets! Some lightly used books and basic crafting supplies, including bookmarks and jewelry, will be available. There may even be some role-playing, so sharpen your gaming skills, too!

Please note, lighting at Carw Gwyn tends to be somewhat ‘atmospheric’, so bring supplemental lighting if required. The event is free to Carw Gwyn patrons. Dress for the occasion or simply come as you are! We look forward to seeing you at this inaugural Mead, Makers and Manuscripts event!
