We had the honor of welcoming the granddaughter of Charles Burrell yesterday 💛

Charles, often called the “Jackie Robinson of classical music,” was both a classical and jazz bassist — and the first African American to join the Denver Symphony Orchestra in 1949. He was also a familiar face here at our South Logan location, where he loved to dine with us. Learn more about his incredible legacy on the Colorado Symphony blog. 🎶

Hard work and talent clearly run in the family — his granddaughter,Chelsea Burrell - , is a health and wellness advocate and a marketing entrepreneur. Check out her page to see the amazing things she’s doing!
