Lucy's Feel Good Food

Lucy's Feel Good Food We are two passionate people looking to change the way people view vegan food and the way vegans view meat eaters.

We both grew up in southwest missouri in farming communities. Maegen grew up on a dairy farm, but they also did hay and alfalfa. I grew up working as a farm hand at preffered farms in pierce city MO. We raised beef cattle and ran tyson chicken houses. When Meg was 8 her family dairy farm was unfortunatley sold to DFA (dairy farmers of america) because her father could simply not compete with them

any more. The reason i feel our background is so important for you to know is because our relationship with farm animals runs deep and is a big part of the majority of our beliefs. Our fight has never been to get everyone in the world to stop eating meat, but rather bringing awarness and compassion to the animals themselves. raising animals for food does not mean the exisetence for the animals has to be horrific, but first we must understand that all creatures have the ability to feel pain, stress, but also love. It's been said better before, "The measure of a society can be how well its people treat its animals" Ghandi.

We're not sure if this is a good or bad thing.....but, we mastered vegan cheesey bites with marinara today!

Here's a little personal information about the two of us and why we are opening Lucy's. We are two passionate people looking to change the way people view vegan food and the way vegans view meat eaters. We both grew up in Southwest Missouri in small farming communities. Maegen grew up on a dairy farm, but they also did hay, alfalfa, raised chickens, beef and pigs. I grew up working as a farm hand at preffered farms in Pierce City, MO. We raised beef cattle and and operated tyson chicken houses. When Meg was in her teen's, her family's dairy farm went under because government subsidies were going to factory farms instead of family farms. The reason I feel our background is so important for you to know is because our relationship with farm animals runs deep and is a big part of the majority of our beliefs. Our fight has never been to get everyone in the world to stop eating meat, but rather bring awarness and compassion to the animals themselves. Raising animals for food does not mean the exisetence for the animals has to be horrific, but first we must understand that all creatures have the ability to feel pain, stress, love and form bonds and relationships. Ghandi said it best....“The greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated”
