Everytime I watched this, I could not help but re-experience the bittersweet feeling I felt in the last days . However, today I no longer feel that way. I feel excited more than anything because I can officially say a new chapter has begun!

For the few past months, I’ve been able to take a step back, finally BREATHE and refocus. I’ve recharged and It’s finally time… I’m ready to cook for all my wonderful customers! I’ve really missed being in a kitchen and I can’t wait to cook for everyone again 🫶🏻

As the days get closer to our final days at everything has truly weighed heavy on my heart. From sneaking a brief moment out of the kitchen to converse with patrons has been heartwarming and simultaneously heartbreaking. In addition, every year around this time, I always look forward to making any list of serving the “Best Vietnamese” This year of course we didn’t make any, due to Closing our doors, merely a week away. I find myself filled with a mix of emotions…. The reality of it really is coming to an end is starting to hit home. Especially when everyone is getting in their “LAST SUPPER” 🥹♥️

Since the official announcement of Savory Vietnam’s closure was made public from the amount of love we have received in the past two weeks have been overwhelmingly beautiful!

Although, I am excited for the next journey, I can’t help but feel sad it has come to this. After all, countless hours, blood, sweat, and tears have been sacrificed into getting the restaurant up and running to where it is today. Til this day I still remember sleeping at the restaurant on dining room chairs as my bed and a table linen as my blanket prepping for our grand opening around this time five years ago.

I want to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude for all our wonderful customers who have dined with us since our opening in 2019 at Savory Vietnam. Some becoming patrons and eventually some becoming amazing friends. All the support and love throughout the years, especially during the pandemic will never be forgotten. From the bottom of my heart, and on behalf of my team, THANK YOU 🙇🏻‍♀️🫶🏻🫰🏻 Your love and support for Savory Vietnam truly means the world!

I hope your love and support will continue as I start the next chapter in my career within the food industry. As I have said, “This isn’t goodbye, it’s I’ll see you soon!” After all, it’s in my blood to cook Vietnamese food. Without it I wouldn’t know what to do with myself 😁 I look forward to the day I can share my recipes, with the community again refreshed and re-inspired.
