East with an incredible performance!

It was an epic comeback after being down 3-1 early in the day to .westhighlands. Congress Park stormed back, took a lead 5-3 lead. Lost the lead temporarily to Cerebral Brewing - West Highland but regained it later in the evening and never looked back after being down 7-5. Congress Park was the first to kick all 10 kegs before the Highland crew even got past 8. An incredible day for East Coast b**r lovers!

In the realm of IPA, there’s one debate that has raged since the dawn of the twenty teens: do the cool kids drink clear, or is the hype in the haze? We thought we settled it last year. But science demands replication, so we’re running the experiment again.

After a flurry of text messages, IG DMs, and secret notes passed during class, we’ve assembled 20 of our favorite IPA-brewing friends to put the question to rest once and for all. For the second year in a row, West Coast IPAs will take over West Highland, while the hazies hold down Congress Park. It’s East vs. West: whichever location kicks their kegs the fastest wins.

The methodology is sound. The sample size is questionable. The stakes are completely made up.

Pick your team and vote with your feet: we’ll see TODAY at Congress Park or West Highland (or both?) for the great IPA showdown of 2026. May the best style win.

Returning for a third year, Mountain Express is our favorite Fresh Hop Pilsner. We decided to switch it up and feature Crystal instead of Cascade this year – just to highlight a different hop in the same base b**r. That base includes all-Colorado malt: Troubadour Malting’s Pevec and Yacht Rock plus Chit Malt from Root Shoot Malting. Taken together, it’s an ode to local agriculture and a celebration of seasonality.

It’s time for our second annual B**r Mile!

Grab three friends and put your speed (and chugging skills) to the test. In this relay-style race, teams of four will:
Drink a pint of b**r (included with registration)
Run a quarter mile 🏃
Tag the next teammate to do the same

The first team to complete their mile takes home bragging rights + prizes for all team members!

In the realm of IPA, there’s one debate that has raged since the dawn of the twenty teens: do the cool kids drink clear, or is the hype in the haze? We thought we settled it last year. But science demands replication, so we’re running the experiment again.

Each fall, we make the trek to the Pacific Northwest for hop selection. Our focus is finding hops that will help us make the b**r we want to make. We spend a few jam-packed days rubbing hops, debating flavor profiles, and discussing recipe design.

This pilgrimage is special because it’s a time of gathering unlike any other. We run into friends from as close as Seattle and as far away as Australia. We spend time with farmers and get to know them better with each visit. And we get to experience hands-on, sensory immersion with one of our key ingredients, on the land that created it.

Simply put: Hop selection sits at the crux of the people, places and things that inspire us. Plus, there’s something about drinking fresh hop b**r while rubbing hops that you just can’t beat.

GABF wouldn’t be complete without a celebration of fresh hop season. To curate a field-fresh experience, we’ve gathered an incredible lineup of fresh hop b**rs from Denver, the Pacific Northwest and beyond. Taste through the spectrum of fresh hop brewing and immerse yourself in a hop rubbing with our friends at Yakima Chief Hops.

Brewing fresh hop b**rs reminds us that we’re not making b**r in isolation. Every batch is connected to the farmers who grow the ingredients, the places they come from, and the seasons that determine when they’re ready. Each sip is a small reminder that time marches on, and we can only live in the moment.
