To accomplish these goals, we strive to be a socially conscious business that invests in people and seeks collaboration near & far. It's true, we geek out about the flavor complexities of our coffees, but we can also enjoy a cup with a little cream. No matter what, our goal remains the same: the passionate pursuit of tasty coffee. That pursuit is fueled by people and collaboration, such as farmers

working in unison to produce a season's crop, two distinct coffees blended together to create something new, and partnerships with forward-thinking organizations to improve lives locally and globally. We believe the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

We’re digging El Lechero for not just its elegant complexity, but also its uniqueness from our other Perus - chocolatey Familia Peralta and fruity La Pomarrosa. Cookie-like sweetness, a mix of stone fruit and currant fruit tones, citrus acidity, and soft florals for the win.

We source our Peruvian coffees through Origin Coffee Lab .coffee.lab, and when we first visited back in 2021, we tasted one coffee that prompted a very quick “whoa, what is that?” That coffee was a yellow caturra variety from Ulises Nayra and Victoria Ramos, and luckily, Ulises was actually delivering more coffee to Origin at the same time we were cupping. It was a no-brainer to chat, then visit his farm a few days later.

El Lechero is named after a tree on the farm that produces a milky sap when cut, and this coffee is truly a family effort. Ulises and Victoria oversee both coffee and granadilla production on the farm, their son Dilver splits time between Origin’s cupping lab in San Ignacio and agronomy studies, and Ulise’s mother Esperanza and stepfather Maximiliano live just down the road, with family members helping on both farms.
