Pastelito de Guayaba | Cuban Style Turbinado Pastry, Guava, Cream Cheese

A nod to Cuban bakeries serving up this delicious, comforting bite from Chef .

Pastelitos developed as a fusion of European-style puff pastry and abundant local tropical fruit. While fruit-filled versions are traditional, the popular combination with cream cheese was likely perfected by Cuban bakers in Miami (and we love it this way!)

You know we live our history... It’s not Mexico’s Independence Day, it's the remembrance of the Battle of Puebla, when a smaller Mexican force stood its ground against a European empire. A moment of courage, comunidad, and orgullo that still echoes today.

And honestly we’ll take any excuse to celebrate Mexican culture, Mexican joy, and Mexican flavor.

Pastel | Plantain and Taro Masa, Pork Guiso, Crema al Ajillo, Pique

A new chapter on the menu, an old story told in many Puerto Rican households. Introducing our Puerto Rican Pastel, a plantain and taro root masa, tinted with achiote, stuffed with stewed pork belly, wrapped in banana leaf, and steamed the way our elders taught us.

Shout out to the Perez family and for walking me through the technique and love it takes to make this staple.

Inside: guiso de cerdo, slow and tender.
On top: crema al ajillo, pique, and a touch of sweet mint to lift every bite.

It’s comfort, memory, and celebration on one plate.

Spring at Lucina always starts with something bright.
This year, it begins with our new Tiradito | Tuna, Melon Leche de Tigre, Chulpe, Hierbas

Leche de tigre is the soul of Peruvian ceviche. Citrus, aromatics, chiles, and fish… a sauce so alive that people once believed it could revive the spirit, cure a hangover, even bring back your appetite for life. It’s bold, restorative, and full of story, just like us.

And speaking of stories… Lucina just turned 4 in March! We’re stepping into our fifth year in Park Hill, still doing what we love most: feeding our neighbors, honoring our roots, and creating a place that feels like home.
