a very special BTG takeover :) Wednesday September 16th, Chris Barnes of Jose Pastor Selections will be taking over and pouring a beautiful selection of Jose Pastor wines for the evening.
Jose Pastor Selections has built its reputation around working with growers who are farming with intention and making wines that reflect where they come from. Their portfolio is rooted heavily in Spain and the Iberian Peninsula, while also reaching into Mexico, South America, Portugal, and other places where exciting, thoughtful wine is being made. They have played an important role in bringing lesser known regions, grapes, and producers to the US.
What I love most is the focus on the grower. Rather than building a portfolio around big names or mass-produced wines, José Pastor seeks out small, often family-run producers working with native grapes, traditional methods, old vineyards, and a real sense of place. Many of these are wines that feel alive - expressive, textured, and always connected to the people and landscapes behind them.
More than just an exciting takeover, it’s an opportunity to introduce our guests to an importer whose philosophy is deeply aligned with what we believe wine can and should be.
