This past Spring Semester at the University of North Texas (UNT), students worked diligently on class projects featuring Jackie Mays Burger. 🍔

Nearly 100 students in four classes worked on five class projects, with several teams delivering outstanding presentations (like the suggested beverages in the picture!).

Now, as summer vacation comes to a close, we thought it would be a good time to recognize all the creative and insightful students who delivered project reports and presentations on these topics:

• Expansion to the consumer product goods (CPG) market – one team project
• Extension into the custom beverages market – three team projects
• Restaurant franchising – one team project

Since 2022, we at Jackie Mays Burger have recorded instances of meat-lovers – yes, loving our burgers. And we've been truly humbled.

We are thrilled to announce that Jackie Mays Burger has opened its second seed round of funding! ✨🌱

We have:
· Proved our concept
· Added new leadership
· Persevered and flourished
· Relocated our HQ to California 🏝 and will be opening soon!

Despite all the obstacles and recent challenges to restaurants, Jackie Mays has persevered – including through the COVID-19 pandemic and its aftermath – and we’ve proven the concept of our innovative alt-protein food and food truck business model. 🍔🚛

Talking about the natural world, after the Sun, the oceans give us life. We are a water planet with over 70% of Earth’s surface covered in H2O. The oceans are the greatest carbon sink, absorbing most of our human-caused greenhouse gas emissions, and they help keep our planet relatively cool. So this week (specifically Sat June 8th) we celebrate the oceans as a reminder that even though they are vast, they are still finite and need protecting. 👍🌊🍔

Yesterday, a brilliant team in the senior class of Marketing Promotion at Texas Women's University delivered its final presentation featuring Jackie Mays Burger. 🎉

We were grateful and honored to have been selected by Daniela Perez, Jade Eaves, and Amanda Farris, and to receive their excellent work and recommendations in both their presentation and full report which focused on how Jackie Mays can improve its customer communications, awareness, and engagement. 📢

Special thanks to their Professor Fernanda Muniz for inviting us to join and participate in the 'Jackie Mays presentation' and two other class presentations. 👏

That's the last class project for Jackie Mays until next year. 🙃

While on campus, we also had the good fortune to speak with leadership of both the campus American Marketing Association (as it prepares for a big competition on the topic of sustainability) and the leadership of campus dining (Chartwells). Both suggested that Jackie Mays should be and is a prime candidate for the Denton Eats Program (retail foodservice in the student union for 1-2 terms) for Fall 2024, so we'll keep the pressure on and you posted! 👍🍔🔥
