Every winter, while the kiosks are quieter, our family gets to work building for our kids’ future and improving Wild West Shave Ice piece by piece. This year, we rescued eight Christmas trees that were headed for the trash, cut them into individual picks, and saved them for something special.
Today, those flowers found their new home. We completely refreshed the University kiosk with them, giving it a rustic, Rocky Mountain look — and doing it for far less than the $400 per kiosk cost of store-bought flowers.
Next week, a brand-new picnic table will join the dining area as soon as the paint and clear coat cure. More upgrades are on the way before summer: a safety railing for our little diners, new storage cabinets, more flowers, and pink LED lighting behind our main sign.
