Hey y'all. We have some news to share but first we wanna share our story. In August of 2019 the previous owner of Pops Place unfortunately passed away suddenly. His wife tried very hard to keep the businesses going but as she was now a single mother and had taken over 2 businesses it was too difficult so she decided to sell the Denison location. She offered the business to her 2 managers at the time, Cody and James. They found an investor and purchased the business in December of 2019 and C & J's Family Dining was born. Our first full service day of operating was December 12th of 2019. We were doing great until Covid hit in 2020 and then it all went down hill. We were doing everything we could to earn money to keep our doors open. Then our beloved Cody got sick and was down for 10 months. During which Covid just got worse and we were struggling more than ever but we made it through 2020 and we thought we were going to be fine. Then came 2021 and it said hold my beer and watch this to 2020. Cody was still sick and sales were still down. Cody got better and came around May of 2021 but things were still rough. Then came August. Cody suffered a massive stroke and passed away. We were and still are heartbroken and devastated. Now here we are 2 years later. Still struggling, business sales have dropped tremendously and food costs just continuously go up. Things are not the same anymore. So James and I have made a sad but necessary decision to close the doors. On December 24th we will close at 2 pm and that will sadly be the end of C & J's Family Dining. We ask that you do not call or message or ask us questions. We are doing what we feel is best for us and our staff. We are truly going to miss this place and all of the amazing customers and friends that we have made in this business. We thank each and everyone of you for your love and support. We will continue to operate as normal until 2pm on Friday the 24th. We would love to see each of you for our final days so please come out and see us.
