There are times in life where a little seed sprouts and the start of a new tree begins. Fertilized with a little coffee and mead and who knows how big it could grow.

As you can see, we have some pretty cool things in the works! So, stay tuned and let’s see what happens!

We are excited to announce two things. Firstly we have partnered with a Louisiana based Veteran Owned coffee company called Cedar Ota Coffee Co and secondly we are experimenting with a Coffee Honey Wine!!! So be prepared to come and try some samples soon. Y’all give Cedar Ota a try and tell them we sent you!

Do you ever have those days where you want a coffee but you require a beer? It’s like two amazing worlds being poured into one glass. It overwhelms the senses with joy, all the while establishing a foundation of sanity to end the day with. Its a joining of two passions that rivals the love of our dear Romeo and his Juliet. It’s order in a world of chaos and hope in a time absent of rational thought. Its a union that can only be truly revered amongst the most ardent craftsmen of traditional craftsmanship. It’s honestly just down right… a damn good thing!

A new friend showed up in the mail today! If you know, you know! @ The San Franciscan Roaster Company

I have found that what I enjoy most about life is growth. Whether it’s watching a garden grow, my kids learn, or a business develop. The joy is always found in the growth stages of every journey.

But for some reason, I am always wishing I was much further ahead than I am. It’s easy to get into a state of comparison on these social platforms. The more I focus on “not” worrying about the competition or what others are doing the more I realize that the real battle lies between my thought processes and emotions.

Life has become one big classroom to me and this new box of joy is my next assignment. Let the learning and fun begin!!

“Just a Bag”

To some it’s just a burlap sack that holds beans.

But, I see it as so much more than that. I stare at these bags from time to time and I study them. I think about the hard working people that filled them and I imagine how their life is compared to mine. These bags represent work and passion. They represent tears and pain. These bags are just as much art as they are history. I look at them sometimes and wonder what these places look like. Sure, you can see the travel videos on YouTube but what does the unedited version look like? You can listen to a sustainability speech to a pampered convention audience but what about the ones who have carried this bag? What is their story and what do they sound like? What do they want from specialty coffee? Nobody seems to ever ask and I highly doubt they will be at the expo to supplicate any requests. Every time I lift one of these 69KG bags and feel the weight on my shoulder, I can’t help but respect all those who make this bag a reality. So, cheers to those who lift this bag, sort the green and allow this coffee journey to exist. I think about you and that bag often.

Happy Friday to all you wonderful coffee drinkers out there! I am back to roasting the beans and this weekend we have some fresh new offerings coming in which I am excited for.

Nothing is better than the smell of fresh coffee combined with this beautiful weather.
