Confused? We don't make any hats, just world-class gelato. It's made completely from scratch every week in our shop. We are a gluten-free facility and serve both vegan and non-vegan options using only the best ingredients prepared by our executive chef with nearly two decades of experience.
Inspired by the race track culture of Del Mar, CA, all of our gelatos are named after hats (or fabrics from our sister store An's Dry Cleaning). This week, our menu includes:
Visor - Pistachio - First, we whole roast fresh pistachios and then blend them into a homemade pistachio paste. We freeze it into a smooth gelato and then sprinkle in extra pieces of pistachios on top.
Floppy Hat(v) - Vegan Peanut Butter & Brownies - This vegan gelato is a peanut butter base with chunks of vegan brownies mixed in.
Coppola - Cookies and Cream - Made with homemade chocolate cookies crumbled into a sweet cream gelato and mixed with Nutella.
Top Hat - Dark Chocolate and Nutella - Simple, but incredible. We make this one with a dark chocolate gelato base with flourless almond & chocolate cake and Nutella mixed in.
Velour - Salted Caramel and Chocolate Dipped Cones - We make homemade salted caramel gelato with chocolate covered gluten-free waffle cone crumbles.
Ayam(v) - Raspberry - This vegan sorbet is made with 17 pounds of raspberries in every batch.
Calico - Cream Cheese and Pumpkin Butter - We create a cream cheese gelato that is similar to the cream cheese frosting you would find on a carrot cake. Then we layer in pumpkin butter we make in-house. It tastes like pumpkin pie in a jar.
