I may be closed for now, but I don’t want everything I learned—or all of those recipes you guys loved—to end here. 🥰

I learned SO much while running my micro bakery, and I’d love to share it all with you. And most importantly, I’d love for my amazing customers to still be able to enjoy their favorite treats, even if I’m not the one making them right now. 🤍

A Bittersweet Update from O’Briens Baked Goods

This is a post I never really imagined I would have to write, but after a lot of thought, I’ve made the difficult decision to close O’Briens Baked Goods.

Life has changed quite a bit for our family, and right now it requires more of my time and attention. Between appointments, my kids’ busy schedules, and everything that comes along with everyday life, I’ve realized that I simply can’t keep up with the demand of the stand while also being as present as I need and want to be for my family.

This little stand started as something that brought me so much joy and happiness, and it grew into more than I ever expected. I’ve met so many wonderful people along the way, and I will forever be grateful for every person who stopped at the stand, placed an order, shared a post, recommended my baked goods to someone, or simply cheered me on.

Every purchase, every returning customer, and every kind message helped turn a little idea into something incredibly special to me.

As hard as it is to close this chapter, I know that right now it’s the right decision for me and my family.

I also don’t want to say goodbye forever. Maybe later in life, when things slow down and the timing is right, I’ll be able to bring back the little stand that once gave me so much joy and happiness. I truly hope that day comes.

For now, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting O’Briens Baked Goods and for being part of this journey with me. I will forever be grateful for the memories, friendships, and support this little stand brought into my life. ❤️

🤎 WE NEED YOUR INPUT! 🤎

I’ve been doing a lot of thinking about what O’Brien’s Baked Goods will look like moving forward, and I’d LOVE to hear from you guys!

I absolutely do not want to stop baking or stop offering all of your favorites. 🥹🍪🥖 But with my kids’ busy schedules, appointments, activities, and everything that comes along with this season of life, it’s becoming harder to keep up with making a huge 20+ item menu every weekend.

So instead of stopping, I’m thinking about switching things up a little! 🤎

Which would YOU be most excited about?

🥖 POP-UP WEEKENDS
When my schedule allows, I’ll announce that the shed is OPEN with goodies available for walk-ins! These may be more spontaneous and have a smaller menu.

🛒 PRE-ORDER ONLY WEEKENDS
I’ll post a menu ahead of time, you order exactly what you want, and everything will be ready for pickup on a designated day. This would help me bake exactly what’s needed while still giving you the chance to grab your favorites!

🎁 WEEKEND BOX DROPS
A limited number of pre-made themed boxes with a mix of different goodies inside! Each drop could be different — think sourdough + sweets, breakfast boxes, fall boxes, dessert boxes, cinnamon roll boxes, surprise boxes & more! 😍

I’m really leaning toward finding a way to keep O’Brien’s going that works for both my family AND all of you. I love baking for this community and I’m definitely not ready to give it up — I just need to make it a little more manageable during this busy season. 🤎
