To every volunteer, donor, barber, beautician, And Hope Academy staff, and every person who gave their time, talent, resources, or support to our Back to School Extravaganza — THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts.

Because of this amazing community, we were able to serve and support over 300 children with book bags, school supplies, fresh braids, haircuts, food, love, encouragement, and a positive start to the new school year.

This event could not have happened without people who were willing to step up and pour into our children. To the barbers and beauticians who worked tirelessly, the volunteers who helped wherever they were needed, the donors who gave what they could, and the Hope Academy staff who opened their doors and helped make this event possible — we truly appreciate each and every one of you.

A very special thank you goes to all of the mothers, fathers, grandparents, guardians, and families who brought their children out and trusted us to serve them. Seeing so many children smiling, feeling confident, and leaving prepared for school made every bit of hard work worth it.

We also want to sincerely apologize to any parent or child we were unable to serve before the event ended. With such an incredible turnout, we did everything we possibly could to take care of as many children as possible. If we were not able to get to your child, please know that we are truly sorry. It was never our intention for anyone to leave disappointed, and we genuinely tried our very best. 🙏🏾

This was bigger than just book bags, food, braids, or haircuts. It was about showing our children that their community cares about them, supports them, and wants to see them succeed.

Over 300 kids were blessed because a community came together with one purpose. ❤️

Thank you, Decatur. Thank you for showing up for our children.

May every child walk into this school year feeling prepared, confident, loved, and ready to succeed.
