🖤 A brand new bagel flavor that I’ve been developing. And after having one for lunch I can say it is my favorite by far!!!

🖤 I wanted a bagel with a little more extra flavor; a bagel that can withstand sturdier toppings, but still be perfect for a snack.

🖤 This dark rye bagel is studded with onion and caraway seeds and topped with a seed and oat blend.

🖤 If you need a bagel for lox this would be the perfect match!

🖤 I have one Bag of 6 for sale. These keep for a few days on the counter, and can easily be kept in the fridge for about a week and frozen for longer storage!

- your favorite Red Velvet flavors with a fun twist with Matcha!
-green cocoa-infused shells filled with a delicious matcha cream cheese buttercream
-topped with a white chocolate drizzle and matcha dusting

🍋 Lavender Lemonade 🍋

-yellow macaron shells filled with a lavender infused whipped white chocolate filling
-fresh, tart, lemon curd middle
-topped with white chocolate drizzle and candied lavender blossoms (from our own garden!)

🍊 Orange Blush 🍊

-pastel pink and orange swirled macaron shells filled with a orange blossom buttercream
-blood orange and rose water curd middle
-topped with pink edible glitter

I am very excited for these flavors and I expect by the time August is here some fun, light and refreshing flavors will be just what I am wanting!

So, I was going to be baking some more items for sale this weekend, but with our A/C already struggling to keep up, keeping the oven on all day seems silly (especially when it’s at 500 degrees for the Sourdough 🥵)

My 🍦Sweet Summer🍦 Macarons are all assembled and they are absolute stunners! 🤩

😍 I absolutely love how all these turned out and they taste even better than they look 😋

❣️I do have extras of these and I will be selling those in two stages:

⭐️ I will be posting the numbers that I have of each flavor for you to Build-A-Box with your favorite combo of flavors!

⭐️ If there is any left over after that, I will pre-box the macarons and stick them in the Porch Pickup fridge for first come, first serve!

🍞🍌 I will have other baked goods for this weekend including Sourdough, Banana Bread, Banana Chocolate Mini Muffins, and more!

🎆 Once everything is out for sale (I am aiming for Friday), I will make an official post!

❣️ Also, I received an Amazon Prime order today containing two bags of the Blue Diamond Almond Flour. I am not sure who sent it, but I am completely overwhelmed with gratitude and I definitely felt the love. Thank thank thank you so much and it really touched my heart. 🥹🥹 That extension of kindness is really what the world needs right now and it really made an impact. ♥️

☺️Happy Monday!

❣️Hopefully everybody is staying cool today; what a hot week ahead! 🔥🥵

❣️I am assembling my Sweet Summer macaron menu and these are already coming together nicely!

❣️Tomorrow I will be finishing assembling and decorating, get them all boxed and they will be ready for pickup starting Wednesday!

🗓️ I will start reaching out tomorrow to schedule date/times for all my pre-orders (if you have a date/time in mind send me a message and I will start marking it on my calendar)

🎆🎇 I’m so excited to post pictures of them all decorated and I know these will be such fun flavors, perfect for 4th of July cookouts, lake fun, and firework watching!

❣️I am planning on extras of these and will be selling other baked goods for Porch Pickup around Friday so stay tuned!

🧈🍞 I also baked these two Brioche loaves today! These are rich, buttery and perfect for sandwiches, jam, French toast and everything in between. After mixing the dough rests in the fridge so the butter can ferment in the dough and the results are out of this world!

ℹ️ Just a short info post here real quick.

♥️ I absolutely love making my macarons and they are really such a perfect canvas for so many fun flavor combinations. What I love even more is just baking and cooking in general!

🥐🥯 I am currently practicing making pastry dough to make all kinds of different pastries and eventually want to start learning croissants, brioche and other fun baked treats.

The reason for expanding my repertoire and offerings? (Besides for the love of it, of course)

⬇️⬇️⬇️ The price of almond flour has more than doubled this year.

💰 Almond flour has always sat around $8-$11 since I’ve started working with macarons years ago. This year the price has skyrocketed to around to $25 since February and hasnt budged since. It was already an expensive choice vs regular flour that you would use for cookies/cakes etc.

📖📘 I know there are many reasons for this price increase, but I am just a simple home baker and all of that is out of my control. But what is in my control is that I can read through all my cookbooks, find ideas, learn new techniques and bring a wider offering of baked goods to offer!

I will still offer my macarons, but it is part of the reason for the limited slots for pre-order.

🥚 The egg price increase subsided so I am hoping the almond flour will go back down to normal at some point, but for now, I will be baking a lot of bread 😋😂

🌱 With all of this rain we’ve been having this summer, our garden has exploded!

🪴 That means an abundance of squash and zucchini already and while I love just grilling them for dinner, I’m always looking for new ways to use them!

🧀 These cheese and herb squash fritters are packed with yellow squash and a good way to get in a lot of squash in one yummy snack!

🥒 They freeze well and reheat perfectly in an air fryer, toaster or oven!

🍞 While these are just for personal use, I will be posting for sale a variety of squash and zucchini baked goods throughout the summer months, so stay tuned!
