This beautiful table belonged to an extraordinary woman, Myrle Harlan Duncan, whom we were blessed to call Grandma Myrle. She went to be with the Lord on June 21st, and while our hearts miss her deeply, we are so grateful for the beautiful legacy she left behind.
She was a dear friend to everyone she met, a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and GREAT-grandmother. Her life was one of kindness, generosity, and unconditional love.
Yesterday, this table has found a new home here at Cherry Pie & Co., and we couldn’t imagine a more meaningful place for it to be 🍒
What makes it even more special is that back in the 1930s, her Aunt Birdie & Uncle William Harlan Brown lived in this very house long before it became Cherry Pie & Co. (his initials are carved into the sunroom!) It feels like such a beautiful full-circle moment!
If you happen to sit at this table during your visit, just know you’re sitting at a place that has been filled with so much love and many amazing memories. We hope the same warmth, comfort, and joy that surrounded her table continues to bless everyone who gathers here. 🙏🏼 Also, you will hopefully see lots of sunflowers on this table! They were her favorite 🌻
We sure miss you, Grandma! Thank you for leaving behind a legacy of love that continues to bring people together 🥹
