‼️🚨QUICK CLARIFICATION FROM FORD’S BBQ OAKHURST

We’ve seen a post circulating in a local Facebook group claiming that ICE was at Ford’s BBQ Oakhurst today.

That information is NOT accurate.

ICE was not at Ford’s BBQ. The officers at our restaurant were with a local police department regarding an individual matter involving a recently hired employee.

We understand why seeing law enforcement at a restaurant can cause concern and why people may have questions, but we want to stop misinformation before it spreads any further.

Our team is okay and we very much appreciate everyone in our community who reached out to check on our employee’s. ❤️

Please understand that an intrusion of ice or any other federal agency into our local business would be met with resistance, this was not that. We appreciate the community’s concern, but we wanted to make sure that this does not seem to be an overstep by any government agency . This was an isolated occurrence.

First day of school in Oakhurst is in the books! 📚🍎

This morning we handed out free breakfast burritos, and this afternoon we welcomed everyone back with free pulled pork sandwiches for an after-school snack.

The kids grabbed waters and juice, the parents enjoyed a cold beer, and best of all, we got to meet so many awesome families from the neighborhood.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by, said hello, and made the first day of school so much fun. We loved catching up with familiar faces and meeting a few new ones. We can’t wait to see y’all again soon at Ford’s BBQ! ❤️🐖🔥
