Rainy days are nothing new in Ohio. But after the clouds part, sunshine comes through; reminding us nothing in this world is permanent.

Transformation of this building is close on the horizon. Permits are being approved and court hearings are being held to finalize the use of the property.

Sometimes it's the rain and dark days which remind us just how beautiful this world really is.

Updates have been few and far between, but we finally have some movement on the process. We had to submit a lot of paperwork for permits and zoning paperwork. We are now on the docket to get before the committees that we need to get approval to use the building as a "Mixed Use" building. So we are meeting with the Land Use Board on Sept 21 and the Board of Zoning Appeals on Sept 28.

Still waiting on permits but in the mean time check out the article on Dayton Vistas site.

Xenia Avenue Project just passed 200 followers!

Thanks to everyone watching us grow!

The past year has been difficult for many and the new year off to a cold and rocky start, but we have big plans coming ahead! Renovations are slowly but surely making headway at 600 Xenia Avenue. Permits take time and while we wait, we'd like to take a moment to explain some more about the goals of the Xenia Avenue Project.

What started out with just one building will soon include others, but more than renovating buildings is the task of bring jobs into the area.

Our goal is to bring in 100 jobs.

We are unable to do this alone, but our hope is others will share the optimism we have for the area and collectively bring the total to 100.

Again, our hopes are high, but no one is expecting overnight success. Rather a slow and steady path to a brighter tomorrow.

Thanks again for helping us hit totals we only dreamed about a few months ago. Here's to the next 100 followers!!!

Right now we are completing demolition work. After demo comes permits for all new renovations. Here is where we hit a delay, but while we wait please feel free to visit xeniaavenueproject.com and make a purchase.

Those wanting to help from a distance can make a purchase and donate it to a local charity.

Got a favor to ask. Can everyone click on the website link Www.xeniaavenueproject.com. Not sure how things work on the internet but apparently the more clicks a website gets then the more it shows up on searches. Could be lies but just I case can everyone click the website link.

Thank you everyone for your helping to get the word out. We are currently looking for a plumber and an electrician that can bid on the doing some of the work in the building. I need people that can do commercial work in Dayton including permits and all. This is not just a simple project. It is basically running all new wire and pipes for the entire project. I am not looking for free work but am getting bids on the work to be done. If anyone knows a company that may be interested in work that may be willing to reduce their regular costs to help this project please message me or have them contact me.
