The Water, the Word, and the Savior: Day 7 of Sukkot 🌾💧✨
Today is Hoshana Rabbah—the seventh and greatest day of the Feast of Tabernacles.
Historically on this day, the people circled the altar seven times, crying out from Psalm 118: "Hoshana! Save us, we pray, O LORD!" As they desperately prayed for physical water and salvation, the priest poured water out at the base of the altar.
And right into the center of that tradition, Yeshua stood up in the Temple courtyards and declared the absolute Truth.
He didn't come to add more religious ritual; He came to be the answer to their prayers. He pointed away from empty tradition and toward Himself, declaring that whoever was spiritually thirsty could come to Him and drink—and that out of their heart would flow rivers of Living Water through the Holy Spirit.
He took the cry of Psalm 118—"The stone the builders rejected has become the cornerstone"—and revealed that true salvation isn't found in performance or human systems. It is found in a surrendered, lived relationship with the Living Word.
Today, as we reach the culmination of this week, we don't look back to ritual. We look to Yeshua, the Cornerstone, who permanently satisfies our souls.
Where in your life do you need the Living Water of Yeshua to refresh dry ground today?
