John The Baker is a family-style pizzeria using only the finest ingredients to create their, “World Famous Garlic Rolls” as well as authentic Italian pizza, salads and subs. John The Baker was founded in 1960 by John Scinicariello, Sr. as a family-style Italian restaurant. With their 4th generation now working as part of the business, they have expanded their menu of services and outreach in the S
outh Florida market. Focusing on “old family recipes” they have developed a loyal following among locals and tourists. The restaurant’s long-term commitment to the community has resulted in walls lined with plaques from dozens of sports teams and charitable causes: Little League teams; church groups; charity events as well as academic and community service. Over the years the restaurant has served as a distribution drop off location for food and supplies after major disasters. When law enforcement is working around the clock, John often delivers hot meals right to the scene- --his treat. John opened up his restaurant and his heart to showcase foster children waiting to be adopted on “Wednesday’s Child.” John The Baker was selected “Corporate Partner of the Year” from Nova Southeastern University, CBS Miami Best Pizza In South Florida and a Reader's Choice Dining Guide's Best Fort Lauderdale Award. In addition, John Scinicariello has received the Key to the City, The Businessman of the Year Award. February 17 is designated as John The Baker Day in Pembroke Pines.
