It's our maple butter sweet potato with a side salad for lunch. Two soups to choose from...cuppa Toscana, or a house favorite new to Dardanelle...chicken and mushroom with wild rice. The neighborhood is quiet this early Sunday morning. I snuck in while all of you were sleeping to get busy on another grazing table. The behind the scenes of one of these is at least 2 trips to Trader Joe's, Sam's, Whole Foods or a local farm stand for the groceries. Then two days before, collecting the equipment, stands, bowls, plates, service ware, etc. One day before, loading the van with equipment, then putting together the components that can be pre-made, smoking anything like turkey or meats that will hold well. Then, day of...hit the ground running. Pack the van, and spend the next 2.5 hours making an empty table look like a king's feast. Thanks for waking up with me...watch my tutorial on smoking fish and get your steelhead trout at Sam's!

Today is going to be a little warmer, and we have the perfect lunch.
Our fall turkey club...toasted wheatberry bread, lettuce and tomato, smoked turkey with gouda cheese, bacon and grilled apples. Served with house made cranberry sauce and seasoned fries.

Today, it's philly cheesesteak sandwiches with a side of fries. Waste, not want not... We're using leftover prime rib on the sandwich and we promise it will really hit the spot. Seared with bell pepper and onion topped with melted mozzarella and provolone cheese. You're gonna want a nap for dessert. Hungry yet?... Come eat with us!

With fall in the air, and the winter squashes starting to come off, we have one of our favorite specials today. Roasted acorn squash with cornbread an italian sausage stuffing. The soup is chicken noodle with fresh rosemary and thyme. It's too beautiful to stay in for lunch...come eat with us!

FINALLY! It's fall enough to roll out baked sweet potatoes with maple thyme butter and a side salad! Today's potatoes are HUGE and the best way to formally welcome fall. Our soup is a take on Italian wedding soup, but we have used a calabrian chili chorizo dumpling instead of meatballs. It's so good, you might want to get the special AND soup...the table is waiting...come eat with us!
