💜 November is Epilepsy Awareness Month, and this cause is deeply personal to our family.
Purple has been part of our lives for a long time because of our daughter. Behind that color are hospital stays, tests, doctor visits, mood changes, sick days, and fear. There are ups and downs, good days and hard days—and so much that people never see.
Through it all, our daughter has become one of the strongest young women we know. She faces things no child should have to face, and we couldn’t be prouder of her. She’s just built different. 💜
I (Amber) recently learned why a seahorse is sometimes used to represent epilepsy. The hippocampus, a part of the brain involved in many seizures, gets its name from its resemblance to a seahorse. Pair that connection with purple, the color of epilepsy awareness, and a purple seahorse takes on a whole new meaning for our family.
🎳 On Friday, November 20, 2026, Snake’s Handicap Trios at Riverside Lanes will be an Epilepsy Awareness Tournament.

Wear your purple and join us to help bring awareness to something so many families live with every day.
All proceeds from any raffles, 50/50, epilepsy awareness sales on this day will go to whichever epilepsy foundation Payton chooses.
For our daughter, and everyone facing epilepsy: we see your strength, we love you, and you are never alone. 💜
