Dear valued customers,
We come to you today with some bitter sweet news. After close to 47 years of servicing all of our wonderful customers, we have chosen that the time is right to retire from the restaurant business and have sold the property. As of Wednesday February 23rd the restaurant is under new management. This was a difficult decision and we wanted to make sure everything was completed and final before any official communication was sent out by Dave’s Pizza.
All of us from the Byrdwell family want to thank each and every person that has dined at Dave’s over the years and appreciate your loyalty. We also can not be thankful enough for all of the employees that Dave’s has had over the years. A big thank you goes out to the current staff, you have been so much help and we appreciate everything you have done to help get through this trying time of COVID and the passing of Dave.
Opening a pizza place was Dave’s dream and in July of 1975 that dream became a reality and kept growing for 47 years. Dave had great love for his country and great appreciation for the military and wanted to honor that through his business. He loved serving his customers and enjoyed the friendships and the fellowships that developed over the years. Can’t express enough how much his customers and employees meant to him. This was truly a family business as his wife Sherry, Mother and Father Wayne and Lillian, and three kids Tim, Kim, and Julia spent many years working there as well.
We would also like to take this time to thank Sherry’s sister Susie for all the many hours spent doing the book work and everything you have done behind the scenes. We would have not been able to continue if it wasn’t for you so we thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.
To Dave’s sisters Patty, Cathy, Donna, and Tammy, we thank you for all that you took care of during Dave’s passing and helping us get started on a path of a lot of unknowns and for all of the support.
Finally, can not go on without expressing the extreme amount of appreciation for Dave’s Wife Sherry for everything she has done to continue Dave’s legacy. Dave ran the day to day operations as she worked hard making all those delicious salads that made our salad bar so famous for years. Taking on all of the responsibilities of running the business and doing it during the pandemic and surviving is something we are all so very proud of.
Dave’s has been apart of our lives and always will be. We want to thank you for all of the support!
May God bless you and may God bless America!
